  • Replacement Grease Zerk For Dexter EZ-Lube Axle On Older Trailer
We have confirmed with Dexter that the EZ lube spindles on their axles have a standard 1/4" pipe thread fitting that can be replaced with part # Gzerk.

  • Are E-Z Lube Grease Zerks Threaded or Pressed In
The E-Z Lube grease zerks are threaded in, and if you can remove your zerk with the threads not damaged, people have had success replacing it with the Replacement Grease Zerk # Gzerk. The zerks have a standard 1/4" pipe thread fitting which is what this zerk has.

  • Solution for Zerk Fitting of EZ Lube Spindle Wearing Out Rubber Cover
Your zerk fittings are probably press-in ones. Before you try to remove them you might see if you can find ones that are shorter than what you have. From there I would maybe try finding someone with access to a press or a welder with trailer spindle experience who could remove yours without damaging them and press in new ones. One thing I'd like to add is that we generally don't like the EZ lube or Bearing Buddy types of ways to add grease to a hub as they often allow people to over fill...

  • Does 20k and 16k Reese Goose Box Use Same Zerk Fitting
Yes, the 16k and the 20k Reese Goose Boxes do use the same zerk fittings so the # GZERK would work for both.

  • EZ Lube Grease Cap Hitting Grease Fitting
I do have a solution that will work with your EZ Lube axles. It sounds like the grease fitting is too long and is hitting the rubber cap. Most grease caps are very similar in height, so changing the cap most likely won't solve the clearance issue. However changing out the grease zerk will give you more clearance, if you use a short one like # Gzerk. If the fitting was bent, or damaged and then replaced, it's very possible to have one that is just slightly too long. I verified with my...

  • Is there a Replacement Grease Zerk Fitting for a Sure Lube System
Grease can ooze out of the opening unless you temporarily plug it with something. I would advise not to tow the trailer until you can get a new grease fitting installed. The Sure Lube manufacturer may have a specific replacement for the system. If not then replacing the system with Bearing Buddies is the way to go. I can recommend some if you can tell me the opening size the grease caps fit into on the hub. The measurement has to be as accurate as possible so measuring with calipers such...

  • Do Both Sides of TruTrack Weight Distribution Head Need to be Greased
The head unit on the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control # C17501 should have a grease zerk fitting on both of the trunnion bar attachments as you can see in the attached photo. The instructions just show one side to save space in the instructions. Since the one you have is missing one of the fittings you'll either need to replace it on your end with part # Gzerk (which I confirmed matches with my contact at Curt) or pursue the warranty of the item if it still applies...

  • Grease Zerk Fitting Replacement vs. Spindle Replacement
For your spindle, I definitely recommend replacing the zerk fitting and not the entire spindle. Welding a replacement spindle requires a really steady hand of an experienced welder. The Dexter Axle EZ-Lube fittings is a standard 1/4 inch pipe thread fitting like # GZERK. If your spindle will allow you to clean up your threads that is the route to go. If not, then you will need to tap the spindle and use a larger grease zerk. You will need to obtain those parts at a local hardware...

  • Correct EZ Lube Spindle nut and Washer Kit for my Trailer
Not having a cotter pin is not acceptable but because it is an EZ-Lube hub it should use the Spindle Nut Kit for EZ Lube Axles part # RG05-100. This has the tang retaining washer to keep the nut from backing off. As far as the grease zerk they are threaded. If yours are broken off you will need to drill them out carefully and tap the hole to match a grease zerk you want to use these are readily available at any parts store or you can use part # Gzerk.

  • Missing Zerk Fitting on Boat Trailer Grease Repack
Thanks for the pictures. It looks like your zerk fitting has broken off. You should have a standard 1/4" grease zerk fitting if you have EZ Lube spindles. You would be able to replace it with the Grease Zerk for Ram Jacks item # Gzerk.

  • Replacement Zerk Fitting For A 2022 Triton LTWCI PWC Trailer
The grease zerk fittings on your Dexter EZ-Lube axle are threaded. Since one of the fittings broke off you can use a screw/bolt extractor to remove the remaining threads. When the replacement threads are out you can install The Replacement Grease Zerk # Gzerk to replace it. If you're having trouble getting the old threads out or removed you can install The Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors # BB1980A-SS. You will have to measure the diameter of your grease cap. • Replacement Washer and Nut for EZ Lube Spindle on Escort Boat Trailer
The Replacement Spindle Washer - Tang Type for E-Z Lube # 5-101 is the correct fit for your trailer spindle based on the picture and measurement if you want to use a castle nut like # 165686. The alternative option is the Spindle Nut Kit for EZ Lube Axles # RG05-100 which uses a different style retainer for the nut. Either options will work well for you. • Replacement Threaded Grease Fitting For Dexter Suspension Kit with Wet Bolts
For your Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-652-00 wet bolts the grease zerk replacement isn't specified. It is the standard 1/4 inch thread and if so you want is the Replacement Grease Zerk for Ram Jacks # Gzerk but you will want to make sure that your broken zerk didn't harm the threads inside the bolt. Since it broke off, I recommend you replace the entire bolt using the Step Wet Bolt for 1-3/4" Double Eye Springs # 34007-187-00. This is a confirmed replacement.

If you can confirm that is you hub bore diameter as I cannot tell from your tape measure, you can use the previous cap. Or you can use the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors # BB1781SS that are designed to do what your caps are doing.
