Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this replacement tailgate top seal for the Pace Edwards Retractable Tonneau Covers. This part will replace the seal between the top of your tailgate and your tonneau cover. It is designed to fit the Pace Edwards Bedlocker, the Full Metal, the Jack Rabbit, or the Switchblade tonneau covers. It is a rubber material. It is made in the USA.
I'll give you the length and the width. If you put a tape measure on the overall length, it's going to be right at 63 inches. The width on it is going to be right at 1 1/2 inches wide. And I just wanted to zoom in just to show you a cutaway of the end, just to give you an idea of what the design of the seal looks like. After a year of Houston weather exposure the seal is holding up great. Has kept rain out nicely and is still supple to the touch.

the tailgate seal after a year is still working as though it should and still very happy with it
Fit perfect on Pace Edwards cover. Fills in gap to tailgate nicely. I applied a cpl dabs or grease along the slot to ease install.

So I bought this because I have a retractable bed cover from another company that decided to discontinue my model and stop making any replacement parts. I looked at the photos and design of this top seal and thought it was worth a shot. I must say the quality of rubber is very good compared to the last. This feels much thicker and better quality. I had to do some modifications by shortening it a few inches, but if you look at the photo it fits just fine. Thanks for fast shipping and a good product.

Paid good money for shipping, item was sent by USPS took 3 weeks to get. Totally unacceptable.
People were real nice when I called about it. End result was, nice people and a wet truck bed waiting on seal.
Good quality material, only thing was had no instructions on what side goes up, but other than that the installation was a breeze .
Item was folded in small box. Unfortunately where the seal was folded there is small splits. It has been installed but unsure if product will holdup because of small splits everywhere it has been folded!

Great product and easy install. The top rear tailgate seal was for an older tonneau cover. So glad parts are still available.

Nice quality, easy install, perfect fit
Seal is exact match to factory. The issue is being folder up in the box verses rolled up. Creases are so bad you can't install and keep it in the track. Even setting after days in the hot sun, still has bends. Pops out of the track in multiple places where the bends were at.

Took a while to get here as the part was back ordered (two months), but the seal wasn't critical so not a big deal. Fit perfect, exactly what I needed.
The replacement tail gate weather strip works better than the original at stopping water from entering the bed of my truck it also seems to be stiffer than the old one which helps it maintain its shape.

After a year the weather strip is holding well. There has been no leaks and the strip continues to keep its shape. Very durable.

This replacement has held up very well. No issues, no leaks and I would definitely recommend. One tip, when I installed this I used some conduit lubricant that goes away quickly - it made installation very simple
