Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Leer replacement prop rod clip set. This is going to replace the prop rod clips on your Leer tonneau cover that will hold your prop rod in place. This is a direct replacement from Leer so you can trust it is gonna fit right in place of the original. You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues, size fittings, and those sort of things. They do include instructions to walk you through that very simple installation process, as well as the Allen wrench that you're gonna need to get these installed.
So, very simple to do. If your originals have become damaged and you're wanting to have your prop rods held in place so that they're not swinging around, that sort of thing, these are gonna be the exact replacements from Leer that you need. While these do work well, the very nature of how they're constructed makes them extremely brittle. Any slight bump and they'll snap and break. Since they're pretty darn expensive for what they are, I recommend taking extra care when loading your truck that you don't bump them (even slightly), because if you do, you're going to be buying another set.

1 year and still going strong. Well made not cheap materials.

I like how this company has the parts I need but shipping to Alaska is a bit expensive.
The part I ordered was a tiny plastic clamp with two small screws. The price charged was $[XX], a total ripoff. That part should cost no more than $10 which would still be overpriced. I understand that a business must make a profit but to totally rip your customers off is ridiculous.
It’s different from the one that was installed with the bed cover. The angle of the piece is different and the screw holes will not align with the pre-drilled holes. As a result, I can only secure it with one screw. I hope it holds, but I think that with the vibration, it will work itself loose.
I have a Leer Tonneau cover for a 2019 Ford Ranger. I broke one of the Prop Rod Clips. I contacted Leer for a replacement and they referred me to two dealers in my area. They were not really interested in helping me get Leer parts. After an online search I found etrailer and ordered the part online. Two days later the part arrived and the issue is resolved!

A touch on the pricy side for what I ordered and received, however etrailer is the only outlet I have found that carries Leer tonneau cover repair parts. So as the parts may have seemed a bit overpriced I was glade to get my hands on the parts. And the parts were an exact fit and worked perfectly.

The parts are exactly like the original parts that came with the tonneau cover. They work perfect until they break once again. I carry spare prop rod ends and prop rod holders in my pickup at all times. I believe a metal release leaver on the prop rod ends and metal prop rod holders would solve the breakage problem however I am happy to have a source to buy replacements.

We love etrailer.com! So easy to find just the right part for our new truck’s Leer Tonneau bed cover!! Prop rod clip broke off when somebody loaded a pallet of product into the bed. We found the replacements quickly and they arrived right away in perfect shape and with all the parts and tool for an easy fix!! Since Leer doesn’t seem to sell parts, we are thrilled to know our friends at etrailer.com are there for us!!!
