Today we're going to take a look at the Replacement Caliper-Mounting Bracket for the Kodiak Disc Brakes on an 8000 pound AL-KO axle, and this has a Dacromet finish. Now this caliper-mounting bracket will work with 13" rotors or hub-and-rotor assemblies that have an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern and use either 9/16" or 5/8" wheel bolts. This bracket does mount on to a 4 bolt brake flange on 8000 pound AL-KO or Quality axles. It's made of heavy-duty ductile iron construction. It has a nice Dacromet plating over it to provide superior corrosion resistance for freshwater or saltwater use. It has a 300-400 hour salt-spray rating. The embossed bolt holes, right up here, provide extra thread contact for caliper guide bolts.
It gives you a nice tight, secure connection between the bracket and the caliper. The side support here ensures that the load is carried by the bracket, not just the bolts. The stiffeners reduce vibration when you brake. This is a universal design. It will work for either left-hand or right-hand assemblies. This part is made in the USA, and again the application on this is for calipers on disc brakes with over the hub rotors or one piece hub-and-rotor assemblies.
The axle rating this works with is 8000 pounds. The axle type is either the AL-KO or the Quality. The rotor diameter is 13" and again the brake flange configuration, in other words this is a 4 bolt brake mounting flange configuration.
