Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Replacement Base Coupler for your Demco Recon Gooseneck to 5th Wheel Hitch Adapter. Now, this part is the replacement coupler for the Recon Gooseneck to 5th Wheel Adapter identified by the model number that you see there on your screen. Also, on your screen, I'm including a diagram there showing you where this piece installs. And as you probably know, its whole job is to take the place of the original 2 5/16 inch coupler on the Recon base. Once installed, this is going to give you the secure connection point that your setup needs, so the adapter can latch onto the gooseneck ball in the bed of your truck.
So this is gonna restore that piece, it physically attaches your trailer system to the ball in the bed, keeping everything working just like it should. This is the direct replacement from Demco, so you can trust that it is gonna work without any compatibility issues or anything like that.
