Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Blue Ox Replacement Alpha Two Tow Bar Rubber Boot Set. This set is going to replace the black rubber boots that help protect your telescoping arm mechanisms from damage caused by dirt and debris. Now this will work with your Blue Ox Alpha Two Tow Bar model number that you see on the screen there. Because these are a direct replacement from Blue Ox, you can trust it is going to work with your tow bar. You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that.
So this kit is going to give you these two durable black rubber sleeves, two nuts, and four zip ties. Will mount right in place of those originals and so it should be a very simple installation for you. So if your original rubber boots have become damaged, this is going to be the kit that you need. It is a chore to get the sleeves on, but they serve as a perfect replacement.
I would have given this a 5 star if it were as easy to install as the video indicates. The boots are very tight and required considerable effort to pull over the existing bars. One end fit very well and the other end was a bit too large. The zip ties did pull it tight around the rod but there is no reason to make this oversized. Otherwise I am very happy with the product.
Good product. Good fit. Easy install too. I sprayed the inside with some lithium grease to make them slide on easier. You get a new locknut and zip ties with the sleeves.

It’s been a year. These sleeves have held up very well. Even in Southern California desert conditions. And etrailer continues to be a go-to source for parts. Don’t bother shopping around. Just go with these guys.
