MB Sturgis Propane Fittings - 103612-MBS

  • Tees
  • 1 Inch-20 - Male
  • Type 1 - Male
  • 1/4 Inch - FIF
  • MB Sturgis

Hook up an auxiliary tank to your RV to provide propane in case your primary runs dry during long campouts and get extra versatility in your propane system. Provides you with a #600 (1"-20) outlet for cooking without disposable cylinders.

Features:

  • T-fitting lets you connect a backup auxiliary cylinder to your fifth-wheel or travel trailer propane system
    • No need to break up camp to go refill your onboard tank
  • Type 1 fittings install in-line between your tank valve and pigtail to your pressure regulator
  • 1/4" Female inverted flare inlet lets you hook up a pigtail attached to your auxiliary tank
    • Close the valve on your ASME tank to run appliances with an easily refillable DOT cylinder
    • When valve on your tank is open, can function as an outlet to run an appliance
  • Male #600 (1"-20) port attaches to extension hose to fuel appliances
    • Eliminates need for wasteful disposable cylinders that quickly run out of gas
  • Durable brass fittings approved for LP gas only
    • UL and CSA certified
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Temperature range: -40 F to 350 F
  • Maximum pressure rating: 250 psi
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Note: When using quick-disconnect ports for cooking, bear in mind that the propane pressure is still high, as the Sturgi-Stay is installed before the regulator. Outdoor cooktops, grills, or other appliances will often require a regulator. Check your equipment to see if one is required.

Fitting Diagram

Make camping more fun and relaxing. Moving your 5th-wheel camper or travel trailer once you've gotten settled at the campsite is a real chore. No one wants to have to pack up, unplug, and go refill the propane cylinders, just to come back to the site and set everything up all over again. This Sturgi-Stay T-fitting lets you connect an auxiliary cylinder to your setup using a fill hose (sold separately). As a result, you can run your appliances off of the propane in the cylinder rather than using up the LP gas from your trailer's setup. When you run out, just refill the auxiliary cylinder and hook it up again.

The disposable cylinder port on the Sturgi-Stay provides a connection point for a small, portable appliance or propane tree. This way you can power a grill, heater, or other accessory without needing to use a 1-lb throwaway cylinder. Simply attach an adapter hose (sold separately) to your appliance and then to the disposable cylinder port on the T-fitting.

  • Parts Needed to Connect Ozark Camping Stove W/ Disposable Cylinder to Regulator
Hey Chris, it sounds like all you'd need to connect the MB Sturgis Propane Extension Hose for Small Appliance # 100284-144-MBS to the Camco Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator for Dual Propane Tanks # CAM59005 is the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting # 103612-MBS. You'd just need to connect one end your Ozark stove, the other end to the disposable cylinder port, and then connect the whole thing to the regulator.

  • Can Little Red Campfire Connect to RV Propane Source
We checked with Camco who said that the Little Red Big Red Portable Gas Campfire # CAM58035 is only compatible with an auxiliary propane tank and should not be connected to your low pressure propane connection from your RV. The idea behind it is that you aren't restricted to just the area around your trailer. This comes with a 10' hose but since an auxiliary tank is used you can be much further than 10' away from your trailer. If you really want to connect this to your RV you could tie...

  • How To Use a Camco Big Red Portable Gas Campfire With the Camper's Main Propane Tanks
It sounds like you are wanting to use the Camco Big Red Portable Gas Campfire part # CAM58035 with the quick disconnect port on your trailer and if that is the case I do have another option for you but this cannot be done as there is not a low pressure conversion kit that will work with the Camco Big Red Portable Gas Campfire. I confirmed this with my contact at Camco. Instead, you will need to install a t-fitting just before the regulator on your propane tank(s), the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay...

  • Pigtail With Excess-Flow Valve For Connecting Auxiliary Cylinder To T-fitting
I do have an option for you but the JR Products Propane Hose part # 37207-30605 does not have an excess-flow safety device. I recommend to use the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay Propane Fill Hose part # 100019-15 instead because it features a ball bearing in the POL fitting that requires a certain amount of pressure to allow gas to flow. If there is not enough pressure for the ball bearing to press down it will not release the propane which means you have a leak somewhere. This pigtail is 15...

  • Parts Needed To Add 100LB Propane Tank To the Propane System On an RV
The MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail Hose # 100019-144 is the hose you need to connect a 100lb propane tank to your RV. This hose is rated for up to 350psi. You may be able to use this to replace one of your existing pigtail hoses if used on a more permanent basis, otherwise you will want to attach it to the T-Fitting # 103612-MBS. This will allow you to add the additional propane tank in line of the smaller propane tank on your RV.

  • How To Attach Grill To Quick Connect Port On Side Of RV
I do have an option for you but most propane grills have built-in regulators and the quick connect port on the side of the trailer is already regulated. Therefore, you'd need to use a tee to splice into the propane supply before the regulator. The MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting part # 103612-MBS for trailers or part # 103602-MBS for motorhomes along with a hose like the MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Hose part # 100284-144-MBS (confirm grill connection type) will work great.

We do have the parts to connect your 100 lb tank to your 30 lb tank and what you will need is simply the correct tee and then a hose; there isn't an 8 foot hose but there is a 12 foot hose that will work for you. The correct parts are the following: - MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting for Type 1 Valve - 1/4" FIF and Disposable Cylinder Ports # 103612-MBS - MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay Propane Fill Hose - POL Pigtail x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 12' # 100019-144 The T-fitting will go on your...

  • How To Connect Portable Fireplace/Grill To Port On Side of Trailer
I do have an option to use the portable fireplace with the trailer but to the surprise of most, you cannot use the quick connect fitting on the side of the trailer for most fireplaces or grills for that matter. The reason for this is because most of these grills and fireplaces are designed to be attached directly to the tank which is why they have a built-in regulator. The quick disconnect port on the side of the trailer is already regulated and you cannot use two regulators in-line. Therefore,...

The Camco 90-Degree Brass Propane Tee w/ 3 Ports and 12' Long Extension Hose # CAM59143 you asked from has the similar Tee as the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting # 103612-MBS which you can use as a second tee. • Why Does MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting Have Male and Female Threads
The two threads you pointed out on the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting for Type 1 Valve # 103612-MBS are on the outside a Type 1, ACME fitting and on the inside a POL fitting. A POL fitting is commonly found on the ASME tank used on motorized RVs to connect the propane tank valve to the RV regulator. Before the introduction of Type 1 fittings, POL fittings were the standard fitting for all propane tanks. Now, both types of fittings are featured on DOT cylinders. The POL fittings are...

A vertical regulator can be up to 45 degrees as can a horizontal regulator. You don't want to exceed that on either one.
