Hello neighbors, I'm Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the Camco Big Red portable gas campfire with a 10 foot long hose included. So folks, I wanna start off by telling you this nice compact, portable campfire is gonna let you enjoy a campfire pretty much almost anywhere. So again, it has a nice handle, it's pretty lightweight, nice metallic lid and everything. Very, very durable. Nice ceramic powder coating here to keep everything nice and rust free.
Now folks, this is gonna be perfect for tailgating. Our campsites that do have restrictions against in-ground fires. Some beaches have those restrictions and other places as well. Now I'm gonna open it up here. It's got one, two, and three spring latches on the side.
You simply pop them off, carefully lift up the clip out of the way and you simply pull the lid off. Now I like to kind of put these outta the way and make sure you're not smashing 'em down or anything. And then what you do is you actually lay that flat. And you can either put on the ground or it is designed to sit up here as well. So you could sit it on top of this, there it goes.
And then you'd have your nice campfire. So again, that 10 foot propane hose, let me zoom in so you can see that connection a little better. It's got that safety valve here and everything for lighting. Make sure you're reading instructions, make sure you're lighting it correctly and safely every time. So zoom it back out so I can kinda show you again.
That's about how big it is folks. I'm six foot two, obviously it's on a table, but the table's about in line with my waist. So it's a pretty decent size little campfire. Pretty impressed. I've seen a lot of our reviews from campers, truck drivers even, that have one of these and they love it. They say that they use it for places where there's maybe even droughts where there's no fires allowed at that time, but they wanna do a campfire at night, kind of feel like home away from home. They're able to pop this guy out, set it up safely and use it and then put it away when they're done. These ceramic coated, as I'm calling 'em, like a ceramic material, it's pretty light, these realistic looking nine and a half inch fire pieces and insert cool down really quick so you don't have to worry about things staying hot over time as well. So I'm gonna zoom in real quick. I'm gonna set this back down so we can get a look at the burners and everything else more closely. So again, those fire inserts, the logs. Now these logs are available as well as a replacement part. You can get them here at etrailer.com. You'll get that big one there and you'll get this little insert. And this guy is molded to match up with the inside here as well. So I'll tilt this so you can see that. So again that little guy matches up. This nine and a half inch diameter ring, you can't really see it too good there, but it's got tons of little holes where the propane comes out and that's where your fire actually is gonna come out whenever it's lit. And again, it's gonna give you a very nice ambiance campfire and it's gonna put up some heat for you. I don't recommend cooking on it. That's not what it's made for. It is truly just for a camp fire. And again, that nice 10 foot hose is a great addition that'll keep you far away from the propane tank and everything. And then again, that lid just simply goes back on whenever you're ready to put it away. And again, I was lifting up on the sides here just to kind of tuck them in a little easier. Alright, and again, nice little lid again, lightweight, easy to carry with you. Portable enough, small enough you can fit in lots of different places. It is rated at 65,000 BTUs per hour. It's also RV Campground approved. And like I said, it's got a 10 foot long propane hose. Folks, that's gonna do it for our Camco Big Red portable gas campfire with a 10 foot long hose. One more thing to mention, we do offer this as well in a little campfire, Little Red Campfire as well. So you can check that out at etrailer.com as well. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
Ordered this propane campfire due to drought in the west and “no camp fires allowed” in most areas. Arrived quickly- etrailer.com is my go to place to get about everything trailer/camping related
Used for the first time while camping off grid (way, way off) in Kentucky over the weekend. Works as advertised quick clean easy set up and take down. My wife can now enjoy a campfire anywhere including the backyard or the patio.
Love the product! It’s perfect for our camper and we got it in less that a week. Can’t wait to use it!! Thank you!
This is a Christmas gift purchase for the RVer in the family. We have a similar “campfire in a can” and these little guys are great. Turn it on when you want it, morning or evening. No wood to haul around, no lighter fluid or waiting and best of all: no smoke. We chose the Big Red because it has the lid that can act as a stand. This is a handy feature to get the fire a little elevated for all to sit around. It’s a little safer too, not to have the fire right down on the ground. It gives a good amount of heat and the flame is controlled enough that you can have it under the awning if the weather is rainy and you want to be outside. Purchase from Etrailer was smooth and easy with quick delivery.
I contacted etrailers to get assistance with determine the best low pressure fire pit that would connect to my Airstream with a quick connect fitting. I had previously contacted other suppliers and they could suggest a fire pit, but had no knowledge of the quick connect fitting, saying that I would need to figure that part out. I contacted eTrailer.com and spoke with Shawnee. She was the first to really work to understand what I needed to do and then researched alternatives. She followed up, and as a result I was able to settle on the CAMCO fire pit with proper fitting. She was professional and courteous. I thank her for working with me to get me properly set up. Many thanks Shawnee!
Fire is a fair imitation of a wood fire. Operation is easy. Hose is plenty long (for most people). We are glad we bought the larger RED model. We will probably paint the base/storage can Hi-Temp black so be less conspicuous. Very satisfied.
Just unpacked my new Big Red gas campfire. Looks well made, works great , just as I expected it would. I've purchased several items from etrailer and I've not been disappointed by any of the products I've bought yet. Very easy to order, shipping is quick, the only problem that I've found with etrailer is I can't stop shopping.
I ordered this as a Christmas gift so will have to hold off on a product review and photo but I can say the process of ordering and receiving the product was superior...it was even left on my doorstep in a large plastic bag as it was raining the day it arrived!
etrailer is my go to place for my rv and camping needs. Great service, fast shipping and delivery.
Easy way to have a campfire!
Received everything promptly and as ordered. Thank Noah for helping me sort out this order and then following up with me. Works perfectly!
My husband love this product.

It’s been a year.and we have used propane fire pit several times. It’s a good alternative when regular fire pit is out of the question
