Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Today, we're looking at our Access Rockstar Mud Flap! Now, these are gonna be a full width commercial grade made for towing, and folks, this set here is made for a 2018 through roughly 2027 Ford Expedition and the Expedition Max. But keep in mind that kind of stuff can change. So, make sure you're checking a fit guide here, etrailer.com to be sure you're getting the right parts the first time. And also, this is not compatible with most retractable bed steps. So, do your homework please before you make your purchase.
Make sure it's gonna work for your specific setup. And that being said, from end all the other to the other end, I measured 80 inches long overall, and at the very highest point on the end tips down to the lowest point, I got about 14 and 3/16th inches tall. Now the rubber, the manufacturer's calling 5/16th inches thick, I got very close to 3/8ths, so pretty much 3/8ths, 5/16s within the 16th of an inch, so that's a rough estimate. Obviously, rubber can change with temperature, and just the different ways that it's made and stuff. So, just keep that in mind.
And this is a two piece, so you have a left side, right side. They are held together on the back with two long aluminum bars and a bunch of carriage bolts and fasteners. And there's kind of a side angle, you got nice end caps on 'em, you got the brackets on both sides, the muffler cutout. And as you can see, there's some perforations around that muffler cutout. So if you need to make that bigger for your particular vehicle setup, then you can snip those spots and take that out, and make that bigger, which is nice.
(component thudding) And then, those two brackets, obviously, I just have 'em kind of loosely fitting, that's why they're making noise. Basically, you have four bolts here, and these keepers, (parts thudding softly) those are gonna go on the vehicle side along with these brackets. Now, I'll be honest, I didn't check which one goes passenger or driver's side, (components clinking) but I'll come over here so we can see a little better. So again, folks, this may or may not be the passenger side, (components clinking) I'm just picked one randomly. Basically, this would be on the truck side, and then you'd have (components clinking) that pin there to hold it in place.
And then, this silver bracket would stay on the vehicle side at all times. And then, when you want to take the mud flap off, you'd simply remove that pin on both sides, and then pull the mud flap off of the bracket! (component thudding) (components clinking) So again, folks, this is a nice option for you. It's gonna help protect your towed vehicle, your trailer, maybe you're hauling a nice classic car, race car, whatnot, or just another car, who knows You don't want anything to hit it, you don't want anything to hit your beautiful new camper or used camper for that matter, and you don't want to hit people behind you while you're driving. Obviously, things get thrown up on the road, mud, dirt, debris, whatnot, this is a great option. It's also an easy install, no drill installation, you're not gonna have to drill any bolt holes. Everything's included with the the bolts, all the brackets, and it's gonna bolt right into holes that are already on your vehicle. So, it's a great option for you. You will need a minimum ground clearance of six inches from the bottom of these to the ground, just to make sure nothing's touching, when you're driving a normal drive, and those kind of things, so it's a great option for you. That bar in the back that connected to two pieces, you can either put it on the backside, like I have to kind of give it a clean look, more than welcome to put it on the front side as well, it's totally up to you what you want for your looks, what you want your finish to be. So, keep that in mind as well! Folks, that's gonna wrap up our quick look together at this Access Rockstar Mud Mudflap, full width, I'm Steven with etrailer, have a good one!.
