Video Transcript for DIY Install: WeatherTech Mud Flaps on your 2018 Ford Expedition

Today on our 2018 Ford Expedition, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Weathertech No Drill Easy Install Mud Flaps for the rear, part number WT120088.Now, they're also available for the front using part number WT110088.So, here's what our mud flaps are gonna look like once we have them installed on our Expedition. These are gonna keep all that road debris from coming back and getting on the back bumper and protect our paint from any kind of rock, chips or scratches. And, if we're towing a trailer, it's gonna keep all that debris off the trailer, as well. Our mud flaps are gonna be digitally contoured, so they're gonna fit all the body lines perfectly. And the mud flaps are gonna be made out of a thermoplastic resin so they're gonna hold up for a long time. Our mud flaps are not gonna require any kind of drilling. They're gonna use all factory holes, as well as stainless steel hardware, so, we're not gonna have to worry about any rust or corrosion. So, now that we've seen what they look like, let's show you how to get 'em installed. To begin our installation, we're gonna come to the rear wheel, and along the edge of the wheel well here, we're gonna have four of these plastic fasteners. You'll want to use the included bit that comes in the kit, and you can use the socket or a bit driver to pull out the center, but I'm threading it, and when you're unthreading it, you want to be careful, you don't want to push too hard, because that center will go back in, but, you want to unthread that screw.

We can pull it out, and then we can pull out the rest of the push pin. And we'll repeat that for all four along the edge here.Once you remove the last one, we're gonna pull the wheel well liner back so we can expose all the holes that those fasteners we're in.So, if we grab our kit, we're gonna have these little U-nuts, and they're gonna be open at the bottom. We're gonna want to slide these over the plastic so they go over the factory holes. However, we're only going to be doing it on the top one, one down from that, and the very bottom one.So, you take your clip and you get it pretty close to lined up, and we're gonna want to slide it onto the plastic so the hole lines up with the factory hole. Now, the top one and the bottom one can be a little bit of a tight fit, just because we have our rear bumper in the way, but if you just pull away a little bit, we can get the clip in there and started, and we'll just squeeze it until it slides all the way on.And, the one on the top, you want to make sure you get it onto the black inner plastic and not on that white piece. With all those clips in place, we'll put our wheel wall liner back. So, we're on the right side, so, we'll grab the right-hand one.

We're gonna line up the holes, and we'll come up to that second one from the bottom, and we're gonna take the plastic push pin fastener that's included in the kit and we'll put it in, and that'll hold our mud flap in place while we get the rest of the hardware in.So, we'll take one of the included screws and a flat washer, and we're gonna get these started by hand in the remaining locations. And then we can come back with the bit that's included in the kit, and we can tighten them all up.With this mud flap done, we're gonna repeat the same process on the other side. That'll finish up your look at the Weathertech No Drill Easy Install Mud Flaps for the rear, part number WT120088.
