These towing mirrors are designed to seamlessly fit the contours of your factory side-view mirrors. Each one includes felt padding inside the housing that protects the factory mirror body from scratches and scuffs. Installation is a snap - just slide the towing mirror over your OEM mirror and insert the provided arm and hand knob through the back of the mirror housing. Then hook the arm around the inside edge of your OEM mirror. Finally, tighten the hand knob to secure the towing mirror in place.

The Longview towing mirrors are excellent and the j-hook mounting attachments keep them securely in place. E-Trailer is my go to source for towing/trailer products.
They are a perfect fit for both my 1988
And my 1993 service trucks there were a few scratches on one of the extensions plastic body but they buffed out and I really like the view they give when hooked up to a trailer there's no bad vibration in them

Easy to install. Took less than 5 minutes from opening the box to looking at the finished product. No tools needed at all. Perfect fit.
Shipping was quick. Mirrors fit as they should except for the tension rod. It is plastic and was too short to reach the tension nut no matter how it was tweaked. I used 4-1/2” metal j hooks with 1/4” thread and it secured them nicely.
While I no longer use these because I upgraded to a bigger truck, these were fantastic on my 1500 Silverado. Quick and easy to put on. Sturdy once tightened. Never had any issue. I never pulled my camper without these!

After running these for a year can make a good review of how they work. First thing is they do not come with enough foam to make them fit tight to the truck mirriors so they vibrate very bad, but to fix that I got some foam tape backed door weatherstrip and added to tighten them up. Made it usable but still vibrates. Don't expect to see anything at all threw the mirriors when idling at a light as there is no way to get that vibration out with having a cummins in the truck. Also these will test how good the bushings are in your mirriors still fighting mine to keep them from constantly folding in on the highway.
All in all these are a very good option for the type of mirriors we have on our truck. I do recommend.
I haven't trailered with them yet, but I did mount them on the truck to see the fit. The mirror assembly was tight, and the interior was padded so as to not scratch the truck mounted mirrors. My only potential concern will be the durability of the plastic hook over time.
My reason for 3 stars is the mirrors were (1) a little bit difficult to install with the provided plastic hook and nut system as the shank of the threaded portion doesn't line up squarely to the hole on the other half of the mirror body. It didn't feel like it would hold on as it it seemed it had to be cross threaded to engage the nut to bolt. Having said that I manage to get it to work and it held on for 10,000 Kilometers.
(2) The mirror on the passenger side always moved and had to be reset quite often.
Overall the construction and material were of good quality and the fit to my existing mirror was perfect. They did vibrate a little but were still useful on my journey across the country. Installed on a 2004 Chevy express 3500 cargo van.
The Longview mirrors are a perfect fit! I needed some replacement hardware for them. E-trailer customer service was FANTASTIC. They responded the same day and I had the hardware in 2 days. I highly recommendE-trailer.
The mirror is perfect. It fits exactly well. And it looks good. It blends in as though it was from the factory. However the plastic knob and J bolt are a problem. There is no brass insert in the plastic knob when threading in the J bolt, which also is plastic you must first put a little bit of silicone grease or something on it otherwise it threads in a little bit and breaks right off. Thank you for each Trailer, for sending me a replacement set. You have to be gentle with that J bolt and don't sock it down.
These mirrors work really well, giving you a good view down the side of the trailer on both sides. They fit perfectly on my 2019 Ram 1500. They are very durable, easy on easy off they secure very good to your side view mirrors. The only thing that I didn't like, just takes some getting used too, is the mirror is smaller than I would like. Would be excellent if the mirror itself was larger but it's not a deal breaker so a good purchase for safety. If you don't have or want to spend the high dollars to put real tow mirrors on these work great!
These mirrors fit perfectly on my truck, and look like they will remain well secured. I haven't yet had them on the road. Some small felt pads that were supposed to be included with my order were missing, and I have contacted etrailer for some help on that. The molded threads in the plastic knobs didn't fit at first, but I was able to get them to work.
They fit great and allow visual access to the turn signals. A little leary of the plastic rod and threaded bushing. Time will tell on that. So far I'm very pleased and they look great.
Easy to install. Read reviews on them being shaky. I put 1 inch strips of gorilla rubber tape on inside top/bottom, these dont move. They work great for giving me the extra view along side of my trailer. Their not my primary view, but excellent secondary view…
Pretty solidly engineer to slip right over our 2011 Silverado side mirros and have a unique way of securing to the mirror. The instructions are hard to understand and a simple line drawing of how the attachment bracket is attached and secure would have helped. We figured out how to mount them and they look very factory (wide) mirrors and give a pretty good view of the trailer sides for backing. We have a 27 foot Jayco camper and these mirror should help to see where we are backing the camper into when needed and in pull through sites to clearance on the side. You have to manually adjust the mirrors of course. Seems to be good value for the price. Removeable and factory looking.
I have not used them as of yet, but the fit is very good. The quality is very good as well. I was surprised that I could get towing mirrors for my 2001 Toyota Sequoia.
Although these mirror extensions were designed to fit the door mirrors on my 2021 GMC 1500 Sierra SLT truck, I would recommend a review by the engineer(s)/designer(s). It does fit over the original mirror, however, the plastic hook provided does not completely keep the extension mirror tightly over the original. In other words, I'm able to move it pretty freely after I've tightened down the J-hook as tight as I'm able without breaking it. The "looseness" or "play" is in the middle and outside thirds of the mirrors. I should add that I have yet to actually drive with the mirrors on...I'm "hopeful" (not a legitimate course of action) they'll not vibrate too much on an Interstate Highway at speed.
I should add that "William S" has done a great job following up with me via email to ensure I received my order. Upon arrival, I inspected both mirrors and they had no damage. My first trip with my new travel trailer is next week (10/8 - 10/16). We'll see how it goes. MTF.
After a year of using these on my 2022 Ram 1500 while towing my travel trailer I have found nothing to complain about. They fit perfect, work as designed. Install and remove very easy with no damage to my mirrors and the power fold option still works perfect. Signal lights and puddle lights still work as designed with the mirrors on as well.
The mirrors fit perfect. Easy to adjust the mirrors . No distortion from the mirrors, nice clear view. Easy to put on and take off. Four stars for the thickness of the plastic where the "hook" goes through to secure the nut down. Afraid of breaking it when tightening the nut. The cut out for the light is good.
The product was as described and fit on my mirrors perfectly.
Product was shipped in its origin item box which is not built for commercial shipping purposes. Box arrived to my home via UPS very damaged (though I don't actually know if UPS damaged the item box or if the mirrors were shipped in a damaged box by etrailer warehouse).
One star deducted due to this shipping oversight.
Luckily the mirror assemblies were not damaged in any way despite only light packing paper being used to wrap the mirrors in the box.
I bought these for a 2020 Ram. They fit perfectly. They fasten securely to the OEM mirror. Pretty solid and seem to be of good quality, and they don’t cover the mirror turn signals or puddle lights. Would definitely recommend these to a friend.
I haven't had them on the road yet, but the fit looks fair at best. I just hope I have some warning should they decide to try to fall off.
they did not fit on my 1994 voyager as advertised they seemed like a nice quality part but unfortunately it did not work for my application
