Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the K Source Electric Driver's Side Custom Flip Out Towing Mirror, with heat and turn signal.Now this is a custom fit part, it is designed to fit the 2013 and newer Dodge Ram and Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks. And on a custom fit part like this, I do recommend to go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show you if this'll work for your application.Now this is an extendable towing mirror, which will replace the driver's factory side view mirror on your vehicle. So there's no need for any snap on or strap on mirrors that you constantly have to put on and take off. This has a nice flip out function, makes it very easy to see around the side of your trailer, so that you can safely change lanes, pass and park. All you have to do is just rotate the mirror like that to the outside, and that'll extend your line of sight by about four and a half inches. And then when you're not towing, just push the mirror right back into place.It does have power mirror adjustment to operate the mirror right here, let you change your mirror face position with the factory control inside your vehicle.
This does offer heated mirror glass, which will clear frost and ice and reduce fogging. This section over here, this is a built in spotter mirror. It is a manual adjustment on that. The spotter mirror helps reduce blind spots. You notice on the corner right here, this is an amber light that'll flash when the turn signal's activated.
And on the very bottom of this mirror, there's a puddle lamp, which will illuminate the area under the mirror.This is a hinge design, so it does allow you to fold the mirror up against the vehicle for parking or for fitting into tight spaces. You notice it's all in a nice durable plastic housing, has a nice textured black finish to it, and it is custom fit for your vehicle. It is a simple no drill installation. If you notice right here it has the same footprint and mounting points as your factory mirror. And the mirror will plug into your existing electrical wiring.
Also includes the mounting nuts when you go to install it.Now this part number is for the driver's side mirror only. A few specs on this, the mirror face dimensions on the main mirror, going to be looking at seven and a half inches wide, seven inches tall. The spotter mirror, the widest point is going to be about three inches wide. And the heighth on the spotter mirror is about six and three-quarter inches tall.Now the overall length of this mirror on how much it sticks out, when it's folded in like this from here to here's going to be 18 inches. And when you flip it out it's going to add that four and a half inches, so from here to here is 22 and a half inches.
This mirror is federal motor vehicle safety standard approved. And a few notes on this, is the power remote capability, heated glass, turn signal and the puddle light of this mirror will work only if your vehicle already has those functions and also this mirror does not support the power folding function.But that should do it for the review on the K Source Electric Driver's Side Custom Flip Out Towing Mirror, with heat and turn signal.

I have put off commenting on these mirrors for a few days. The reason being I am a bit disappointed how the mirrors do not turn in towards the center more tan they do. This applies to both the left and right side mirror. It does not make any difference if the mirror is at the normal position of tipped up.
I am an average 5-7-5-8 tall person and I have toi have the drivers seat moved forward to comfortably drive the truck. The mirrors hit their limits to turn in and aI do not see behind the truck that well.
No if I move the drivers seat all the way to the rear, then the mirrors are very good to see behind.
There may be a fix for this problem it there was a tapered wedge that could be placed between then mirror mount and door skin that would change the angle which in turn would allow the mirror to be positioned inward more.
I received my mirrors exactly as advertised and very well packaged. The only bad I can say is there were no directions but a quick [web] search and I was ready to go. Took about an hour to install them and they fit perfectly. Everything works and I highly recommend them.
I would have given a five star rating as the mirrors are quite good. However, I had to cut one of the mounting studs shorter on the driver side mirror as it (the stud) was touching the mirror control assembly and wire harness. Other than that, I pull a 32' Jayco Flight and the mirrors are fantastic.

Easy to replace. Matches the OEM and works well. Will have to wait for a cold night to see if the defroster works. Recommend as a replacement.
Received the mirrors a day early. Took less than an hour to install. They look great and work great! Highly recommend. The video on the site was PERFECT for giving me the steps for installation.
So far I have been pleased with these mirrors. They operate as designed and make towing easier for me. I had mirror extensions before but these mirrors are much better.
The mirrors really improve visibility over the stock mirrors. Installation is easy if you find a good video online. No instructions were included. Good quality materials in the construction. All functions work just like the stock mirrors.
These are the best mirrors I could find for towing behind my RAM 1500. They match the originals in appearance, but I get several inches more lateral view to be able to see the sides of my trailer and all the vehicles or obstacles around me.
I ordered this one on the driver side because the oncoming truck wanted his half of the road in the middle, and his driver side mirror took out mine.
I've used these mirrors for over a year and really appreciate how much better than the originals they are for towing.
Easy to install if you can get a YouTube video, as they come with no instructions. But they take a little more than an hour for the first install, the second should take much less time.
Be sure to order the style that matches your existing mirrors if you have electric adjusters, defrosters, etc.

I’ve been using these for a year now and remain very satisfied. I was surprised that the turn signal functioned because the original ones didn’t have that feature.
They were relatively simple to install if you’re comfortable working on similar tasks.
They are so much better than the old clip on ones that I used previously and they’re always with you.

Perfect fit for my truck 2017 Ram 1500 Laramie. Install was about 20 mins per door. Definitely worth the price. Plug and play made it super easy - no splicing wires. All the OEM functions as the stock mirrors retained. (As advertised). Overall experience has been great.
Easy install
Product was exactly what I wanted and worth the wait due to not being in stock. Everything works as it should and matches almost exactly the style of my factory mirrors. My only complaint would be how the items are packed before shipping and that might not be etrailer it could be the mirror manufacturer. My box was broken, the glass popped off and a wire was loose. However I got everything put back and it all seems to be working fine for now. Will update later if I have any issues.
Easy and straightforward install for replacing OEM mirrors. I just installed these mirrors so I haven't taken out my trailer with them yet but I'm very happy with the initial quality and look of these mirrors. All functionality has been retained minus the puddle light which needs to be flashed from my understanding for it to work again. These mirrors are a flat, textured black where as the OEM on my 2017 RAM 1500 where gloss black but they look fine. Surface area of the mirror is quite a bit larger than the OEM in the regular position so that's cool. I really can't imagine not being satisfied with these once I get on the road with my travel trailer so 5 stars from me!
1. The screw down wire strap sits on boss that sticks up about 3/16 of an inch right in front of the hole where the grommet and wires go through which caused the mirror from sitting properly on the door. After grinding the boss off and shortening the screws up, the mirrors fit good on the outside. (I did this on both sides).
2. Now to the drivers door panel, it would not fit back on because with the stiffener plate and longer screws, the rotatory mirror switch hit the upper bolt and held the panel away from the door a good 1/4 inch. I made a flanged cup to recess the nut below plate and cut the stud down flush. And everything fit fine. The stiffener plate really needs to be redesigned with a shorter stud in that position and the screw boss should be removed. But once I fixed all the problems, I love the mirrors.

Installation was straight forward after watching Youtube videos for mirror R&R. This is important since there are no instructions in the box. Keep in mind that higher level trim trucks will have more wiring than many of the videos depict. My Laramie Longhorn had additional wiring for the mood light at the interior door latch and the door threshold lighting. I put blue Loctite on the mirror studs and used the supplied nuts with integral washer.

Your video about installation was excellent! These K-Source Flip Outs fit right up to my 2020 RAM 1500 Classic. My only disappointment is that my mirrors no longer fold as my factor mirrors did. Other than that, everything is good. Field of vision - EXCELLENT! Clarity of glass - EXCELLENT! Look just like the RAM O.E.M. mirrors except they are larger and with the flip-out, they are great. Easy to install, well packed for shipping. I figured that I would be pleased as they came from Missouri! Missouri is my original home state and for 44 years from 1951 to 1995. I'm from St. Charles County as well!
I ordered mirror with expedited shipping. Arrived on time and in great condition. Mirror works as it should and looks great to boot.
Had to replace my driver side mirror. Great price for the product So I was a little worried about the quality. When I received it I took it out and it matched to other Side in color and looks. Profile was a little different so I had to tighten the bolts up slowly and rotate tightening* to get a snug fit. Operates good, only real difference is the mirror motor is quite a bit louder than the other side but won’t hear it with the engine running or windows up.

Great product. Quality construction. Could not tell any difference between this product and the original. Took about 45 minutes to install. Any one with a basic car repair knowledge should have no trouble. One person can install but two is helpful and make installation go quickly.
