Small mirror surfaces leave gaps in what you can see when towing wider loads. This design uses a 5-3/4" tall x 4-1/4" wide mirror face within a larger 19-1/2" long housing to expand coverage beyond factory limits. It is designed to fit the 2020 and newer Ford F-150 trucks. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the Fit Guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now this towing mirror here is designed to slip over your factory side view mirror to help extend your line of sight.
It's gonna allow you to safely and easily change lanes, pass and park while you're towing a trailer. It has a manually adjustable mirror on the end here face that'll let you customize your view. Just by using your hand, you can move it into position you need it. Has a nice aerodynamic shape to it and a nice tight bit when you install it to help prevent vibration and wind noise. It is a slip on mirror, so it does maintain the aerodynamics of your factory mirror.
As we mentioned, it is custom designed for your vehicle. This add-on towing mirror is not gonna obstruct your factory mirror, and it's not gonna interfere with your factory mirror adjustments. It is a tool-free installation. You can see it comes with the parts you need for installation. It has this wedge lock here that you put the piece of felt on.
This felt covered wedge lock will securely hold the slip-on mirror in place. Basically what you're gonna do is simply slide the mirror over your side view mirror and then use this custom forms felt covered wedge to hold the mirror in place. Just slide it in there between your mirror and this towing mirror. And then once you get it in there, it can be tightened onto the mirror using this easily accessible hand knob that you access from the back. Just go ahead and tighten that down and it'll push up against your factory mirror to hold it into place.
This is a durable ABS plastic housing. The mirror itself has a nice scratch-resistant mirror face to it. And as we mentioned, this is the driver's side mirror. If you do need the passenger side mirror, we do also sell that on our website. It's part number CIP56VV. This part is made in the USA. A few dimensions on this mirror wanna give you, the length, overall length from one end to the other is about 19 and a half inches long. The height at the tallest point, it's about eight and a half inches tall. If you go down to the mirror end, it's about six and a half inches tall. And the depth on it, it's about five and three-quarter inches deep. Just the mirror itself, it's gonna be about five and three-quarter inches tall, or about four and a quarter inches wide. They will work for what I need. The threads on the passenger side were damaged but I was able to get the bolt to finally go through with some trimming with a xacto. The other issue is I can't fold the mirrors with the towing mirrors installed but I can live with that.
