Custom-Fit Towing Mirror
Easily extend your field of vision and reduce blind spots with this CIPA slip-on towing mirror. By adding it to your OEM side-view mirror, you can see beyond the end of your trailer. This will allow you to safely and easily change lanes, pass, and park with a trailer in tow.
The mirror is molded to perfectly match the contours of your factory side mirror. Simply slide the mirror over your side-view mirror and use the custom-formed, felt-covered wedge to hold the mirror in place. This wedge wraps around the inside edge of your OEM mirror and can be tightened onto the mirror with an easily accessible hand knob.

Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at these custom fit towing mirrors. These mirrors are going to slide right onto your vehicle's factory mirror. It's going to extend your line of sight, so it's going to be easier to keep an eye on your trailer, boat, or camper. Makes it much easier and safer to change lanes, pass other vehicles, or park.
Just having that extended line of sight, being able to see your trailer, make sure that your load is staying where you need it to be it's just going to give you a lot more peace of mind, and help with your safety.Now, these are a custom fit. They're going to work for your 2019 and newer GMC Sierra 1500 and the Chevrolet Silverado 1500. They're going to slide right onto the existing mirror there, so you're not going to have to worry about replacing your mirror or anything like that. These do come with a wedge that you'll slide into the back side, and then it's a little knob on the back there that you'll tighten down. I want you to have the wedge in place.
You can see that little circular hole there's going to line up with the inside of that knob. It'll get it nice and secure for you, so you're not going to have to worry about it wiggling around, or anything like that. They do include this pad that you'll put on the wedge there to help reduce any contact with your mirror, so that you don't have to worry about damaging your original mirror. It will hold up well, do a good job for you.Now, one thing I will say about these is that you're probably going to have to remove them to go through a car wash, things like that. You are going to have to put them on and take them off, so it's not as convenient as having permanent towing mirrors on your vehicle.
But if you're someone who doesn't tow all that frequently, you just want to take your camper out for the weekend, or something like that these are going to be really nice, because they're not going to change the look of your vehicle for the long term. Just while you need them they're there for you, so definitely a good option. Nice sturdy material. These are made of an ABS plastic construction, so they're going to hold up well. The mirror is adjustable so you can adjust it to whatever angle you need to see for yourself.Now, I have both mirrors here.
These are sold both as a set and individually. If you are wanting them as a set you can use the middle number that you see on the screen there. Then the driver's side and passenger side are also on the screen, so if you just need one as a replacement, or something along those lines you can get that as well.Overall, I think these are a really great option. For me personally, I would probably prefer a more permanent option. Something that would replace your original factory mirror. I like that stability, and not having to worry about taking them off and putting them back on. But like I said, if you are just a casual hauler, don't do it all that often, these are going to be a great option to extend your line of sight, make you a lot more comfortable and safer while you're on the road. I had some like this with a different truck and they worked well.
Installed them and tightened the knife as tight as it e could. Drove 2 hours, loved them! Then on return trip, at highway speed, one came loose and husband rolled down window and hung on to it until he could safely pull to the shoulder. He has since screwed them into existing truck mirrors.
After a little snafu with shipping I received the mirrors and am very happy with them. They fit my Toyota Tundra perfectly and actually look good. Unlike the strap on kind of mirror extensions. They don't vibrate while driving so give a clear view.

Not sure how they would have worked. They sent me passenger side from a warehouse UPS, came Quick, sent driver side by USPS and we know how slow they are. I had to reach out to try and do something else because I was picking up my camper we had just purchased. Rachel M. was so very helpful in getting me satisfied and better mirrors sent over night to help for when we picked up our camper. Now the REFUND on the other hand is something else. Took up to 3 weeks to be refunded with product back in stock. Not sure I will buy anything else from them, just because of stupid mistakes on there part. Glad they had Rachel M. as an employee at the time to help and bail me out.
Our CIPA Custom towing mirrors arrived very quickly, well packaged with appearance as described, excellent quality. We tried them on our 2020 GMC Sierra Denali and they fit great and will be an extra set of eyes when we are towing our 2021 Riverside Retro trailer to see her better when traveling , backing up etc. We are so happy and will be back for more at etrailer, thank you!
My second set of CIPA mirrors. Fit and versatility are great. Good temporary extensions for factory mirrors when towing.
We use these mirrors all of the time when we tow. They fit our Ford F150 truck mirrors like a glove. Unfortunately they can loosen up when traveling so you will need to check the screw on each mirror before traveling to your next destination. We have lost 2 of these in the 6 years we have had our camper for that very reason.
The installation of these mirrors was so simple. I was amazed at how quickly they were installed. It took me longer to open the box than it did to install. I do recommend getting a pair to anyone
First, etrailer is a great supplier. Fast, efficient and stands behind products they sell. The mirrors are well made, easy to install and functional. I had an issue with the passenger side mirror would not adjust its angle. I thought I would break the mirror with the pressure I had to use to move it. The mirror would only go to full travel, so I was either looking at the neighbors lawn one way or the other way it was looking in the passenger windows. Called etrailer support, no problem, new one on the way. Problem solved.
Directions were simple, assembly was quick, and the extensions slid onto the mirrors perfectly. My current setup didn’t allow me to change lanes or back up very safely. These mirrors get out past the trailer allowing me to do both in a much safer manner.
Excellent product! Fits perfectly on the mirrors of my 1995 F250. Took maybe five minutes to install both mirrors.Both fit very snugly.
No problems with this mirror extension. I have a '24 Ram 1500 classic. Trailer us 8ft wide. This gave a better view than standard mirror. Be aware, left and right sold separately. Nice part is taking them off when you're not pulling the rig.
I have purchased from etrailer.com before and was happy with their service. I was across country moving my son back to Idaho from Illinois and needed mirrors for towing a large utility trailer. The slip-on tow mirrors are a good and affordable option for people like me that are not towing everyday. The main goal was to get some extra width/extension to my view to allow for better visibility when towing my 25’ camper. Sure, an entire tow mirror replacement would work better but for the low cost and convenience of easy removal these are a great option. I’m very pleased. So far the plastic locking screw is holding up well and shows no signs of fatigue, holding it tightly against my factory mirrors.
Pleased to know this is the second set of these mirrors I have had on this 23 year old truck. The first set last 12 years. Very durable and helps to cover the blind spots while towing.
They don't fit very well on my 2018 Ram. They extend towards to door past the edge of the original mirror and it has to go that far in order to get the retaining block in. That causes the truck mirrors to be covered about 1/2 inch. They also keep the mirrors from folding all the way. Having said that, they are still better than the strap on type because they don't vibrate.
2010 F150 Lining up the Thumb screw hole took a little work.. I did manage to get it all lined up With a little work and observation. I lined up the anti-slip plate with the thumb screw hole before I installed it, and marked The adjacent location with a sharpie. After realigning the thumb screw turned down all the way with little effect. Extension mirror looks sharp!! And is solid against the existing mirror.
We ordered these based off previous reviews. Glad we did! They fit perfectly on our 2016 Dodge Ram truck. They just slide on!!! The price is so reasonable!!
The CIPA mirrors for the Toyota Sequoia fit well. Adding a mini bungi cord for additional stability and security is a big help. However, I find the CIPA mirror too small to be of much use. I still rely on the OEM Toyota mirrors when driving and setting up. The CIPA mirrors may be more useful on other makes of tow vehicles.
So glad I found these mirror extenders! Super easy to install and worked beautifully. We just did a 2000 mile trip pulling my trailer with no issues. The mirrors allow me to make safe lane changes.
