Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Fast Delivery, Very Easy Install

by:

Fit great....delivered quickly...thanks

by:

Had to bend a little to get it lined up, but after that, no problems.

by:

The hitch on my Honda Ridgeline!

by:

Quick delivery, proper fit and decent instructions. Everything you expect from a quality supplier of a quality hitch. Thanks

by:

I ordered a hitch and harness for my 07 Ridgeline. Hitch arrived promply and was adequately packaged. Harness was included. Took a few weeks to get going with the install, hitch was good but wiring harness had wrong connectors for the Ridgeline. Emailed etrailer with pictures showing the problem. Got a response which seemed like auto generated email as was no reference to the harness issue I emailed about. Called several times, sent follow up emails but never get a live person to pick up, nobody responds to emails and I still dont have a wiring harness. Lesson learned. Steer clear of these guys, slick presentation but not a lot os substance. Bad customer service.

by:

Everything from selecting the hitch through actual installation could not have gone better.

by:

The hidden hitch fit like a glove and the wiring harness was a perfect matchup. Took me about an hour by myself to install both. The hitch looks great on my ridgline. The service at etrailer.com is great. I will be telling all my friends about etrailer.com, and their prices could not be beat. I will order from them again. Thanks etrailer.com

by:

All my items were shipped out very quickly and got to me within two days. Everything arrived as-ordered and installation was a breeze largely because of the great vehicle-specific install videos. Thanks!

by:

Great service, extremely fast shipping. Easy install especially after watching you tube demonstration.

2007 Honda Ridgeline

Product was very well made and fit without any problems. Looks great and I would recommend it to others.

by:

produce was recieved well packed and a very short time since I ordered...thank you for your speedy service..And I also enjoyed the video on installing it, helpful hints makes things easier......booker

by:

Very easy to follow instructions. My wife and I installed it with no problems in a very short time. Great product. I highly recommend it. Local dealers want almost $500 to intsall same item. Wow, glad I didn't fall for that!

by:

Watching the video before starting the installatio was very helpful and everything worked as shown.

The only issue we had in installing was in getting the bolt holes to line up. The tension on the bolts made it difficult to get them threaded.

by:
Honda Ridgeline

Well, the instructions looked easy enough, but when I got to putting it on, it appears that the holes in my frame and the threads behind those holes were misaligned. Not a product defect, but a problem with my Ridgeline. Had to take it in. So far so good though.

2006 Honda Ridgeline

Installed hitch and wiring harness to my 2006 Honda Ridgeline. Very easy. Had a "small" problem with alignment with one of the bolts, all others fine.

by:

Installed perfectly as shown in the video clip. Everything lined up exactly the way it's supposed to. The products arrived in a much shorter time than what was advertised, and I would definitely recommend the Draw-Tite hitch, and eTrailer.com.

2007 Honda Ridgeline

excellent fit on my 07 honda ridgeline. bolted on just as it said it would. the electrical harness clipped right in. definetely helps to have a second hand when installing the hitch. hitch fits right under the bumper, looks great.

by:

Very happy with my hitch no complaints so far. However, this is not a 30 minute job. It took two of us about two hours from start to finish including wiring. If your truck is not staight out of the show room, you should spray the bolt holes to clean them up and screw in all the bolts before mounting the hitch. This will allow the bolts to go in a lot easier when its time to mount the hitch in place. A couple of the holes on the hitch did not match up well with the pre-drilled holes in the frame. We had to persuade the hitch with a large crow bar to get a couple of bolts in. In my opinion, this is not a one man job. If you try to do this lying on your back by yourself in your drive way, things will not go well. Fortunately, my friend has a car lift in his garage and it made the job much easier. Wiring was very simple with easy to follow directions.

by:

This is the second time I have purchased towing equipment from etrailer.com. Both times I shopped around and found that they have competitive prices compared to all the other online vendors. The main reason I will continue to shop with etrailers.com is because of the followup after the sale and the ease of selection. I find it easy to purchase the hitch or wiring that fits my vehicle easily. I also like the email I get once my order is received after placing my order, giving me a name and phone number to call if I have any questions. I also like the follow up emails once it is shipped and after it has been received. It may seem like overkill, but these days I like the fact that a company cares about the customer.
The bottom line is don't waste your time looking for a better deal on a great product. etrailer.com always delivers.

2008 Honda Ridgeline

Nice stylish hitch from DrawTite. HOWEVER, if you intend to use the Honda 7pin/4pin wiring harness - this hitch leaves no room to install that bracket without exposing it too far below and subject to rock attack. I used a small piece of 3/4" steel, square tube to use as a standoff from the bumper frame and some 3 1/2" long 1/4" bolts to mount with - looks great. Also, be sure to pull the taped up wiring harness down FULLY from the frame BEFORE installing the hitch as there is not enough room between the frame and trunk to get your fingers and the connector through after the hitch is installed. Done as a 1 person job, but would recommend 2 as the hitch is heavy and somewhat awkward - you'll probably ding it up some if you do it by yourself. Bolt holes were close enough that only a little prying was needed to line them up. Cheers!

by:

Great hitch! I bought this from etrailer last year and it has held up well after heavy use. Perfect fit and suits my needs.

by:
2008 Honda Ridgeline

Heck of a product. It went on fairly easily, after bolting on the right side and middle the bolt holes didn't line up on the left side. All I had to do was put a slight amount of pressure with a crow bar and the lines up perfect!

Its been a year and its still working great! No problems. It was easier to put on than what I made it sound like earlier. Good Product and easy to install.

by:

I was an ASE certified, Toyota certified, and Ford certified tech for 7 years. This is the most poorly made product that I have ever attempted to install on a car or truck. The claim that it is allegedly suppose to tow over 5k lbs should be criminal. I would never tow with this, and I feel less safe knowing their might be more of these on the road. The factory threads on my passenger side frame are now toast from having to try to pry this hunk of **** into place despite the drivers side and middle already being hand threaded. All I wanted was to be able to put in a bed extender for a kayak, and I would barely trust it doing that.

It does sound like it was a tough install. It sounds like the passenger bracket was flexed out of alignment. I wanted to confirm that were able to install all the bolts on the hitch? Were you able to torque them down to the spec listed in the manual?

  • Recommended Hitch, Wiring, and Towing Setup for a 2007 Honda Ridgeline
Good news! I can help you outfit your 2007 Honda Ridgeline with all the parts you mentioned to be ready to tow. The hitch I recommend is the Draw-Tite # 75280, because of its high towing capacity. It's important to note that you will be limited by your lowest rated part which may end up being your vehicle so you will want to be sure to check your owners manual for any limitations. The 4-pole harness I recommend for your vehicle is the # 118400, which will plug into your vehicle's existing...

  • Adding a 7-Way Trailer Connector to a 2007 Honda Ridgeline with an Existing 4-Way Connector
To add a 7-way trailer connector to your 2007 Honda Ridgeline our # ETBC7 kit will do exactly what you want. It's intended for electric brake controllers but not having a controller connected won't hurt anything. And if you install the # ETBC7 you'll already have everything you need to add a controller later. Another option is to install the adapter, part # 37185, that is included with the # ETBC7 kit and not connect the other three wires. This way you'll have a 7-way connector but...

  • Differences Between Curt and Draw Tite Hitch for 2008 Honda Ridgeline
We have basically two different styles of hitches for your 2008 Honda Ridgeline. The Curt part # 13385 which has a crosstube that sits higher and would not be visible and the Draw Tite part # 75280 which has a crosstube that hangs a bit lower and would be a bit more visible. The Curt will essentially only have the hitch opening visible and the Draw Tite will have the opening and the crosstube somewhat visible.

  • Draw-Tite Hitch # 75280 Does Not Align With Mounting Holes on 2007 Honda Ridgeline
The Draw-Tite Hitch # 75280 is the correct hitch receiver specified for the 2007 Honda Ridgeline though it does present a fairly tight fit within the available mounting space between the frame rails. The two installation video links provided will show you the process on the 2007 and 2008 Ridgeline. It is helpful to have a second set of hands available when working the hitch into the mounting position. Try to get the driver-side bracket into position before doing the same with the passenger...

  • Hitch and Mounting Brackets for 2006 Honda Ridgeline
There are ways for you to mount your two connectors onto the Draw-Tite # 75280. I recommend taking a look at the Curt Easy Mount Bracket # C58000, which uses your hitch as a mounting point for both of your connectors. I have added a link to a video review and an install of this product so you can see how it works.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2006 Honda Ridgeline that is Rated for Weight Distribution
The Draw Tite hitch part # 75280 is a fit for your 2006 Honda Ridgeline and is compatible with weight distribution. This hitch has higher towing capacities than the Curt so it would be what I would recommend. That being said this hitch (and all of our hitches for your vehicle), do not have a mount for factory trailer wiring.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2008 Honda Ridgeline Towing a Trailer and Motorcycle
We offer two trailer hitches for your 2008 Honda Ridgeline by Curt # 13385 and Draw-Tite # 75280. The Draw-Tite has a slightly higher tongue weight capacity at 750 lbs than the Curt hitch, but the Curt hitch is more economically priced. The tongue weight capacity of the Curt hitch is 500 lbs. Both trailer hitches have a maximum gross trailer weight capacity of 5,000 lbs. As long as the weight of your trailer and motorcycle do not exceed GTW or TW capacities of the hitch or your vehicle,...

  • Why Would Mounting Holes of Draw Tite Hitch that Fits 2006 Honda Ridgeline Not Line Up
The only reason the holes of the Draw Tite part # 75280 wouldn't line up with the frame holes of your 2006 Honda Ridgeline would be if it was bent in shipping which is unfortunately something that happens periodically. The brackets can pretty easily bend back though and as long as the paint doesn't flex or the metal crease it's totally safe to use.

To mount a trailer hitch receiver to the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75280 you were looking at for your 2006 Honda Ridgeline you would need the no drill mounting bracket # 18140 and # 18138 if the 7-way connector you purchase does not include one. Now to add a 7-way connector to your Ridgeline you will first need to add a 4-way connector using # 118400, and then using the # ETBC7 which will plug into your newly installed 4-way connector and...

For a wiring harness you will need to add the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118491. • Will The Bumper Mount Receiver Fit a 2006 Honda Ridgeline For Towing a Jon Boat Trailer?
I recommend installing the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75280 on your 2006 Honda Ridgeline. Honda does not rate the rear bumper as being strong enough for towing so the Curt # E-3S bumper mount is not an option. This bumper mount was designed to used on trucks which have a mount for a tow ball and a bumper rated for towing.
