packaging is always damaged. So the concern is if there are hardware or other items in the package, these items would fall out and be lost.

AS ALWAYS THE PARTS WERE PERFECT BUT AS YOU CAN SEE I AM ONLY GIVING 3 STARS. THIS WAS ORDERED FOR A CUSTOMER, DELIVERY WAS SLATED FOR WEDNESDAY AND WE SCHEDULED A THURSDAY INSTALLATION FOR OUR CUSTOMER WHO WAS LEAVING ON VACATION SATURDAY EARLY MORNING. WHEN THE PARTS DID NOT ARRIVE AS PROMISED I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS TOLD THE DELIVERY WAS DELAYED. I ASKED WHEN I COULD EXPECT DELIVERY AND HE SUGGESTED I CALL UPS BECAUSE HE HAD NO IDEA ??!!? A VERY GOOD CUSTOMER DELAYED HIS VACATION UNTIL SATURDAY AFTERNOON BECAUSE I LET HIM DOWN. AGAIN THE PARTS WERE PERFECT AND WORKED GREAT, YOU JUST NEED A LITTLE TRAINING FOR THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE

IMO this hitch is not DYI without body tools and an understanding of unplugging and plugging in bumper sensors and light modules.
Body shop charged 3 hrs / $225 for labor.

Great set up. Beautiful hitch. Very stealth under my vehicle. I used Sound FX in Lewes, DE to complete a professional install. I highly recommend them. They removed entire rear bumper shell to do install. Its flawless. Thank you.

I can assure you that we do not sell used product. It is very possible that it is showing these marks due to our demonstration team installing the hitch for photo purposes. You can cover these marks with some rust-oleum type of paint to prevent corrosion. I have a link below for your reference.
