Features to know about

Handle Everyday Hauling with a Class III 2" Hitch Receiver

This hitch gives you 3,500 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 350 lbs tongue weight, or up to 4,000 lbs GTW and 400 lbs TW when used with weight distribution. That makes it a strong option for towing small campers, boats, or utility trailers. The 2" x 2" receiver opening works with most ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo carriers, so you can use it for just about any haul without needing adapters.

Tackle the Job Yourself: Bolt-On Design with No Welding Required

The fully welded steel hitch bolts directly to the frame using the included mounting hardware—no welding or drilling needed. That makes it ideal for a DIY install in the driveway using standard tools. Each mounting point lines up with factory holes for an exact fit that saves time and avoids frustration.

Built to Last: Precision Welding and Corrosion-Resistant Finish

The hitch is made from powder coated steel with a gloss black finish over a protective base coat. That combination resists rust and corrosion for long-term durability, even in wet or salty conditions. The precision robotic welds keep everything solid under load, and the round-tube design gives it a clean look beneath the bumper while still being tough enough for regular towing use.

Great experience. I found the hitch a little cheaper on another site, but needed it quick. etrailer offered 3 day shipping for a small fee plus I didn't have to pay sales tax which compensated for the shipping. It was there when promised. I would definitely purchase again on etrailer. I especially liked the video tutorials and pictures provided with each product...that was a great help, Thanks!!!

by:

Excellent trailer hitch. Installed in about 5 minutes after spending 10 minutes tapping all the rough and rusty mounting bolt holes on our van.

by:

Fits perfectly on my 2006 Sedona. 6 bolts, 20 minutes, easy instillation. Heavy duty construction, came with bolts and washers for easy install.

Also ordered wire harness from this website.

by:

I can only say I am very Impressed with the outstanding service I was given by eTrailer.com I ordered this hitch on Sunday and received it on Tuesday and it was an exact fit I will recommend eTrailer to anyone I know needing a trailer hitch Thank you eTrailer for the great service...

by:

Product arrived and there were two wear marks on the frame where the paint had been worn away from rubbing during transport. I touched them up with touch up paint and install took about an hour. Loosening the the exhaust pipe and installing on that side of the care was a little tricky.

by:

I received the trailer hitch and wiring harness a few days after ordering and it was exactly what it was advertised to be. Everything fit perfectly and installation was straight forward.

by:

Easy fit. Looks good. Very fast, free shipping. Took about an hour to install, most of which was spent cleaning out and trying to get bolts to thread into rusted holes in the frame. Get a real good wire tube brush. Spray holes with a penetrating oil or solvent the day you order the hitch (not the minute before installing like I did).

by:

Videos were very helpful before and during this project. had to special order the tap for my rusty frame. both the hitch and the wiring installed just as described. nice work etrailer!

by:

I have used eTrailer 2 times now and bought 3 different products. I can not think of any aspect of my experience as a customer that was not perfect. I got support when I asked for it, good advice, great help with installation via the video, great price, fast delivery. Other than have eTrailer come to my house and install their products for free I don't see a way for them to make me any happier.

Excellent is not enough...Exceptional! I wish I needed more from you!!

by:

Was easy to install. Use to pull small fishing boat on trailer, but most importantly to carry BIKE RACK on van. Works great! Should have done this years before.

by:

The hitch itself is GREAT, the bolts sent along with the hitch were a nightmare; the most difficult bolts I have ever installed. They were the right size/thread pattern, but they just would not screw in. Finally, after 1.5 hours of trying, I got them all in. I had even sprayed Liquid Wrench in them and used the cleaning brush y'all recommend--and I did that several times in each hole. I'm rating it 4/5 because ultimately I'm happy with the hitch, just need a better functioning bolt. Who knows, perhaps it is the frame nuts on the vehicle that need help, either way, it wasn't as simple and quick as it should have been.

by:

I finally decided on the Curt trailer hitch for my 2012 Kia Sedona and this was a good choice. Had a neighbor put it on and the holes lined up perfectly. The hardest part he said was lowering the tail pipe but it is heavy duty and ought to pull my pop up camper easily. The wiring harness went on easily too thanks to the directions and the youtube video (7 minutes long) which showed how to install the wiring. All in all, a very positive experience.

by:

Installation took about 40 minutes longer than the 15 minutes it should have taken. I installed this on a Kia Sedona minivan. The hitch was about 3/4 of an inch too narrow to clear the cargo floor welds. After pushing really hard, which didn't work, I finally used a 2 lb hammer to bend the brackets on the hitch just a bit so that it would clear. Once adjusted, it installed in a manner of minutes. Everything lined up beautifully.

by:

Overall a good product. Installation wasn't too hard. Instructional video was spot on. Only issue I have with it is that it sits a little lower to the ground and there's a gap between the vehicle and the hitch. I feel like it could be brought up an inch or two and give more clearance below. But doesn't affect the functionality and I would definitely purchase again.

by:

I just finished installing this hitch and wiring for my Kia Sedona and I am very pleased with this product.
The hitch is sturdy and well constructed and think it's important to note that the wiring kit did not skimp on you. Everything that you need is included, wire connectors, zip ties and more length of power wire than you actually need. I think it's a nice touch in the current age of cutting every corner possible that many companies adhere to.
You should note that the 30 minute install time is for a professional in near perfect circumstances. However, as a layman and a trucker that has never installed a hitch before I spent 2 and 1/2 hours installing and had VERY little trouble.
Thanks, I will recommend Etrailers and this product to my friends and family

by:

The products I received , trailer hitch ,and wiring harness , were perfect . Bolt holes lined up perfectly. Wiring harness ,and directions were very simple to read , and install went according to plan . Very Happy. Products , were delivered in a timely manner. Great.

I purchased a trailer hitch, wiring harness, brake controller and all the additional necessary wiring for my 2008 Kia Sedona. Other than issues I encountered unrelated to the items I purchased, everything installed smoothly and continues to operate as expected after 6 months. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone. In addition, their on point instructional videos made things even easier than I could have hoped.

Delivery from etrailer was very fast. Installation was difficult, but I think it was due to problems with my car rather than an issue with the trailer hitch. The hitch structure wouldn't fit between the gas tank and car frame on one side. We had to use a tire jack to apply upward pressure to force the hitch into place. Once we did that, we simply bolted it as directions indicated, and everything works great. I'm very pleased with etrailer and their product and service. The only reason I did not award 5 stars is because of the install problem.

by:

This is the second trailer hitch I've ordered from etrailer. Easy order process and great product. Will recommend to others.

The trailer hitch is still working out great. As i said it was easy to install. Hopefully, within the next year, Ill be able to purchase another for my pick up truck. Thanks again for a great product

by:

Ordered this on Monday night arrived Thursday, faster than I expected for free shipping. Took awhile to clean the holes on my car so they would accept the bolts. I used WD-40 and the wire brush for cleaning a pistol. Hitch was a perfect fit and was exactly as stated. I will definitely order from etrailer again.

Great product still holding up after a year on the vehicle. no signs of rust.

by:

Package arrived, but box was all torn up and one of the ends of the hitch was bent on one of the corner screw hole, and some deep scratches on the hitch. I also had difficulty in installing and aligning the holes. Their videos made the fit look easy and had plenty of wiggle room but mine was really tight. I prefer tight, but not this one. Anyway I still managed to fit it on my own with the help of a few pieces of wood and 2 jacks to hold it in place while I wrestle with the screws...

Overall very satisfied and would buy from etrailer again.

  • Brake Controller And Brakes Recommendations For 2010 Kia Sedona And Trailer
Thank you for the spec sheet on the axle you have on your trailer. I spoke with my contact at Dexter and they told me that you do not need to replace your axle, you can just upgrade the one you have. They told me that you have the brake mounting flange mounted on your axle so what you will want to do is add a new hub and drum, the brakes, and wiring for your trailer, and you should be good to go. The hub and drum I recommend is the etrailer.com Trailer Hub Assembly, part # AKHD-545-35-G-K....

  • Will The Hitch From A 2008 Kia Sedona Also Fit A 2020 Kia Sedona?
Hello Sam, thanks for reaching out. The trailer hitch for the 2008 Kia Sedona, the Curt # C13345, will fit Sedona models from 2006 to 2014. You will need a new hitch for the 2020 models and for that I recommend the etrailer Class 3 Hitch # e49YR. I have linked an installation video for you below.

  • Custom Hitch for a 2010 Kia Sedona With a 114" Wheelbase
Thanks for your question, Bruce. It looks like there is only one hitch currently still available for the 2010 Sedona which is part # C13345. However, this hitch will only work for the longer 118" wheelbase models. You may have to have something custom made locally. Sorry we don't have an easier solution for you.

  • Correct Hitch Mounting Bolt Size for 2006 Kia Sedona
The hitch for the Sedona does use M12 x 1.25 bolts. What you describe is a very common issue. Once a vehicle is more than a couple years old, road grime and corrosion can build up on the nuts welded into the frame which makes it difficult to get the mounting bolts for the # C13345 started, making you think you have the wrong installation hardware. This is especially common in the Midwest and North where ice melting chemicals are commonly used on roads in the winter. I'd recommend using...

  • How Do I Tell if My Kia Sedona is Short Wheel Base or Long Wheel Base
I did some research and the Sedona is Short Wheel Base -SWB. If it is a Sedona LX or a Sedona EX it is a Long Wheel Base-LWB. The best way to be sure is to measure. Measure from the center of the front wheel to the center of the rear wheel. If the measurement is 113.8 inches, it is SWB. If the measurement is 118.9 inches, it is LWB. For the SWB models we have the Draw-Tite # 75551. Then for the LWB models, you would need the Curt # C13345.

In order to tow a trailer with a 2006 Kia Sedona you'll first need to start with a trailer hitch, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13345 is what I recommend as it offers drill free installation. Then you will need a trailer wiring harness, the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118410 is plug-n-play. The long wheel base is 119 inches. The short wheel base will be 113.8 inches. Measure from the center of the front wheel to the center of the rear wheel. From what we have found, the LX and EX models are long wheel base models. They will also have a third row of seating. I still recommend measuring to be sure. For either...

On the 2009 Kia Sedona, the long wheelbase has the third row seating that will fold into the floor. The short wheelbase does not have that feature. The Curt Trailer Hitch, # C13345, is for the long wheelbase Kia Sedona. It is a bolt-on application with no drilling required. If you have the short wheelbase Kia Sedona then you will use the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 75551. The installation on this hitch does require removal of the tie-down hook and there is a access hole on the passengers...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver and Wiring for 2012 Kia Sedona
Installation of the parts for your 2012 Kia Sedona is definitely something you can do. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13345 for your trailer hitch which comes with all the mounting bolts and should take about 15 minutes to install because there are already nuts welded inside your frame so it is simply adding bolts and washers then torqueing them to spec. • Can 2008 Kia Sedona Safely Pull Boat out of Water?
The 2008 Kia Sedona has a 3.8 liter V6 with 250 hp, and while that's not a beast it's certainly capable of pulling a boat trailer out of the water with your Curt # C13345 Class III hitch, barring an abnormally steep gradient. The reason you've probably heard a number of different things is because there are many factors that can lead to problems - or lack thereof - when towing. How the vehicle was maintained, the amount of cargo it has inside and the quality of the tires will make a difference....

  • Cleaning Out Weld Nuts to Install a Trailer Hitch on a 2011 Kia Sedona
I would advise against using a thread tap to clean the weld nuts on your 2011 Kia Sedona. That should be a last resort because the possibility of a less than perfect tap is high. We recommend using a combination of spray lubricant, a wire brush, and elbow grease to clean corroded weld-nuts. We even have a help article and video on this subject which I have linked for you. The bolts for hitch # C13345 are indeed M12 x 1.25. For a wire brush you can use # 814092.

  • Ground Clearance of Curt Trailer Hitch After Installation on 2010 Kia Sedona
After installing the Curt Trailer Hitch # C13345 on your 2010 Kia Sedona you will have about 9 inches of clearance from the ground. The reason for that is, it measures 11 inches from the TOP of the receiver tube to the ground (as you can see in the accompanying photo), and the receiver on this hitch is 2 inches, leaving you with 9 inches of clearance. This is a Class III hitch that is a complete bolt-on installation so no drilling is required into your Sedona's frame, which is not only...
