It was challenging to install this on my car because the holes in the car where this were to be bolted on had rusted over time. You will need to clean that out thoroughly before installing this. Once cleaned, this hitch installed relatively quickly and easily. And I have to say its paid for its self two-fold. Works very well and I've encountered no issues with it since it's been installed.
Everything you need to install it and the video was great prep work for the job.
As per instructions very easy. I'm 68 haven't used my socket set in 30 years completed the installation in 1 1/2 hours not bad. Good and sturdy hitch and receiver. Was delivered by UPS all parts included.

After 1 year checked the bolts about 6 months ago and last week , they did not need retightening hitch works very well. Yes I do recommend your hitches to anyone who asked about it.
This hitch is not only quality construction, but the installation was a breeze, since it is made to exact specifications to fit the vehicle. I installed it by myself in less than an hour. We only use it for our bike rack, but I'd have no hesitation hooking up any trailer to it.

1 yr. update: The hitch is performing exactly as it should! I would recommend this hitch to anyone looking to add a hitch to their vehicle.
Works great, somewhat of a challenge to install yourself (not recommended, get a friend). I followed the installation video but used cinder blocks and blocks of wood to shim and slowly lift it into place and align the bolt holes. The assembly is super solid, paint looks to be bomb-proof, and the hitch looks natural on the car. Works well with a bike rack.

Love it! Lexus does not make a hitch package for the nx300 hybrid. This fit perfectly and was installed in about 20 minutes.
2018 Lexus NX 300 F-sport - This product did fit the F-sport trim on the 2018 model. It's not as easy as the video describes, however. In order to install this, you must take off the exhaust ports that are attached to the bumper. If you don't, you will not have enough clearance to get the hitch in place. I lowered the drivers side exhaust (supported with a tie-down strap) about 2 inches. Then, lifted the hitch into place on that side and held it up with a jack stand. Did the same for the other side and was barely able to get it in place. It took some maneuvering for sure. Total time - around 1.5 hours. 30 minutes of that was just to get the exhaust ports off. A year has gone by, and the hitch has been great. I only use it for a bike rack, but have had no issues. Still waiting to see how rusty it gets over time, but a little black spray paint works wonders. It is worth saying that some of the other comments say There are no exhaust ports to remove. That is true for HYBRIDS ONLY. All other NX300s will require either removing the ports or removing the mufflers and resonator, as one reviewer did.
I’m happy with how fast the delivery was but to make you guys better, I would definitely improve on how you package the item. I received the item wrapped in plastic, and there were some tears. Yes the item is hard metal but to reduce any chance of damage it would be better if it was delivered in a box including the plastic wrapping.
This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver (Class III - 2") is perfect! It looks great and functions flawlessly. It was easy and inexpensive to get installed. Only took 10 minutes, and I paid a car mechanic $40 to get it installed. It can carry nearly twice the weight that the OEM hitch receiver for my 2019 Lexus NX 300n AWD can. The quote I got for the OEM hitch receiver was about $1,200 total, including parts and labor, which was laughable! This hitch receiver (cost + labor) only cost 1/5 that of the OEM.

Its been a year now. This hitch receiver still looks like new and functions flawlessly. No sign of wear and tear. No sign of rust. No sign of color fading. But above all, my kick sensor to open the trunk is fully functional. As a matter of fact, this hitch receiver actually helps me to locate precisely where I should place my foot or kick in order to activate the sensor.
I purchased this for my 2020 Lexus NX 300h along with a wiring kit. I had the equipment installed at a local auto shop, and I've been pleased with all the equipment. I was also pleased with the E-trailer order and delivery process. I would definitely order from E-trailer again!

Installation fairly easy. The hardest part was reinstalling the exhaust hanger. One was especially difficult. Hitch fits great.

I wanted to share my experience with etrailer and the Curt 13337. To begin I ordered the item on Friday at 1pm. The confirmation and order said to be delivered Tuesday. Monday evening at 11:30 pm I get an email saying it just shipped. I emailed the company and asked what was up with that delayed shipping and was told they just “found” the item I ordered and that the updated shipping was now Thursday. The item arrived Thursday, in a piece of thick plastic. The ends were completely bashed up and gouged. Saturday my husband and I decided to put it on ourselves. No so easy, lot of work to tap out my bolt threads then finagle it into just the right position all to learn The left side was bent. So after countless hours and taking it on and off my son was able to take it to a shop and have it bent just enough to go into the right place. It was over 3/4 inch off from being able to even get close to being in place.
So overall, etrailer-not great to guarantee and estimate shipping then not be able to locate the actual product. It’s not like it’s lost in your house. I think it should be packed a little better.
Was the product bent in your location, during shipping? Who will ever know. What I do know is I will not be a repeat customer. I own a food trailer business and needed this product to go on a bike expedition pre season.
While I thank you for the email I do not wish this type of purchase on anyone. I had to make it work or I would have sent it back and ordered from someone else. I guarantee you if you order this at the Uhaul store to be installed it would NEVER have showed up like this.

It was a royal pain in the ass to get on, but that’s not your fault. Nice quality product.
Works like a trailer hitch should! Carries my bike rack. Install was little rough on the Lexus nx300. But it’s been solid for the first year.
Great product not very good instructions
Have a 2018 NX300h hybrid with kick sensor. It fits. The instruction is just like the video. There is no exhaust port to disconnect. I did it myself. Took about 45 min. The trick I used is to use 3 paint cans and shim it up with few wood pieces.
A mistake I made is do the driver side first. Later found out on the exhaust/passenger side, there is a metal piece so it is too tight by 1-2mm. I disconnected the driver side and installed the passenger side first. Get both sides up slowly using the shims. Then screw in the passenger side first.
The downside is that the kick sensor is partially blocked. it still works but almost have to kick in between the holes chain perfectly. Anyway, consider the kick sensor will work 1 out of 10 kicks. Small price to pay. if known, would not have paid Lexus for the kick sensor. Oh well....

Very tight fit. Gave a bit of a challenge lining up the bolt holes. Once fitted looks and works great. Lexus NX300h will need an exhaust tool but it wasn’t too expensive on Amazon and much easier than method described in directions.
I ordered this for a 2018 Lexus NX300. The only one etrailer had listed was for a NX300h. I called to verify that it would on my vehicle before purchasing and was told that it would. This is the second trailer hitch that I obtained from etrailer and I installed them both. The first one was for an 2011 Acura and it installed exactly according to the directions. The one of the Lexus was a little more difficult because it had exhaust trim plates that had to be loosened in order to get the muffler assembly to drop low enough to position the hitch. Since this was a new car I took my time figuring out how to get those assemblies to come off without breaking anything. Since I did thing in the garage without a jack it made the installation a little more challenging and lengthy however I'm pleased with the result!
First of all let me say that this is the 3rd hitch and 3rd different vehicle I have installed a similar hitch on for the purpose of a Kuat bike rack. The other two were fairly simple installations (RAV4 and Mazda CX-5). I just completed this one which was far from ‘easy’ as indicated in the instructions. There are no tolerances at all, the exhaust shrouds on the bumper are very difficult to simply move out of the way (this is given about 15 seconds in the how to video btw and made to seem very easy). Granted, it would be far easier to work on overhead with a lift, but most of us are going to be doing this on the ground or as I did with the rear tires backed onto a slightly elevated platform. Either way, the shrouds are very tricky to unbolt and even after unbolted the exhaust is difficult to pull down and out of the way. I feel very fortunate to have been able to install this myself and put back together without damaging either shroud. The passenger side shroud when put back in place rests tightly against the hitch, and I am hoping that this will not result in any rattling in the future. That being said, I don’t want to take away from the quality of the hitch, I have always been happy with them and see no difference here in that regard. My only caution for others is with the difficulty of installing on an NX300 with the exhaust shrouds.
