Great item very easy to install still looks great 1yr later. Just make sure after a few uses go back and re tighten the bolts I had developed a small squeak that's how I found out but it quite now.

Very well made hitch. Fit exactly to vehicle. Fishing the one bolt on driver side was a bit of a challenge, but doable. I do question the torque values for the longer bolts at 70 ft-lbs. Started to bend the plate on end of hitch as it neared this value on the outer bolts.
It took longer than I expected to get it installed, but was worth the effort. My goal was something that would not detract from the appearance of the vehicle and tuck up as close as possible.
I've installed a few trailer hitches, but never a struggre like this was! I sent Paula some photographs showing how it just didn't fit, what do you suggest? Never heard back, so I just had to make the most of a bad situation so I could get my car back on the road. Looking around the other reviews I see that etrailer does not recommend this hitch, they know it's a pain, but they still sell it... I agree with them - stay away from Curt 13142! One star for the nice shiny black finish, one star for the sturdy box that it came in. That's it!

I was very sorry to read this review Edward. I am very happy that you were able to get it installed, and I hope that whatever you are using it for is bringing you joy! I have helped with many hitch installs here at etrailer up on the lifts, this last weekend I installed my own hitch at home on the ground with jack stands, I have much respect for the do it yourselfer at home! I just fell in love with riding a bike again, makes me feel like a kid, so a bike rack was a must! What is the main purpose of your hitch?
