Wonderful fast service and perfect fit. The only complaint I have is when opening the box the product was scratched up. We don't know if that came from the shipping delivery or from the warehouse. I had to use some touch up paint to cover the scratches.

Product arrived in prefect condition and fit prefect, My explorer is 12 yrs old with alot of undercarrige damage, I installed the hitch in less then 20 minutes ,only took that long because I needed to slide into place from the passagener side and not straight up. Thanks
The hitch arrived in great time so I could work on it this weekend. Despite the box getting severely damaged during transit, the hitch was basically fine, aside from some scratched paint. Thankfully the good quality hardware was securely taped to the hitch. The installation would have been much faster if I didn't have to fight a bent bumper and the factory 4-wire plug mounted to the bumper. In the end, I was victorious and am very pleased with the new form fitting hitch on my wife's truck. Thank you etrailer!

Great hitch,very strong I like it because it was easy to install 15 min. tops pulls my utility trailer well not to mention my bike carrier.Great site keep up the good work etrailer.
Hitch arrived on time, installation took around 40 minutes. I also installed a 4 pin connector holder under the hitch so no more connector hanging down when not being used.
The hitch and wiring harness were very quick and easy to install. The design allowed the full size spare wheel/tire to be kept in the original location. Shipped the hitch and wiring harness in the same box and it got here fast. Very happy with the purchase.

The hitch went on without ANY problems on our '98 Ford Explorer! Didn't even have to remove our full size spare to install. I am very happy and relieved that we didn't run into any problems like ppl from other sites reported about their supposed 'vehicle-specific' hitch fitting their vehicle. It fit perfectly and appears to be a great solid piece of workmanship. Time will tell, but I believe it will outlast us for our needs.

AS has always been the case, this hitch fit my 25 year old Explorer Sport like a glove. Came with all the hardware and clear instructions.. We will use the hitch to tow a small trailer and to mount our bike rack. It is a big deal that I didn't have to remove the under mount full size spare tire.

excellent as expected
Excellent hitch systems for hard to find hook up for older Ford Explorer.
I am very satisfied with this hitch system. Be aware the wiring harness will have to be secured up out of the swing path of the ball which can be done by installin a screen door spring to keep the harness out of the way

Im very satisfied, with no complaints
Installed in approx 1 Hr.Two people , 1 to hold hitch up on one other side would cut approx 15 mins off ,but I am happy with the hitch . used it about 4 days latter worked great for pulling the trailer , backing and hitching too. Well satisfied as with all things I have ordered from etrailer , Highly Recommend

Ordered on line . Very good website, easy to use and fast response. Fitment was perfect all bolt holes lined up perfectly. This vehicle has over 170,000 miles on it and it fit perfectly! Goes to show you when you buy good parts, you get good results! Thanks for a great product.

Like the hitch. Serves my need. Easy to install and had a good look to it. Good product!
Had it installed by my mechanics, along with the front receiver I purchased at the same time. Both installed in under an hour. Only problem was they had to uninstall my skid plate, but we’ll look at that later as they said it would just take a couple mods to reinstall. Plan on using the receiver for winch mounting and small trailer pulling, as well as adding a bike rack and rear cargo carrier. Very impressed with the quality and FAST shipping!
Although I haven’t had a chance to try it yet. It is sound and looks good.
The hitch and wiring harness seem to be of good quality but the end of the hitch was bent by about two inches when I received it, probably as a result of being dropped during shipping. I was able to bend the hitch back into shape but the paint was chipped off where it was bent. Had it not been bent, it would have been perfect. I was able to install the hitch and it looks like it will work great. The plug in harness was easy to install and works perfectly. I recommend having the hitches packed in some sort of shock absorbing material like styrofoam.
It's a nice product, but the hitch was too small, had to pull the ends out by about .5-.75 inch on each side. Having to do this was no easy task at all, the tools we needed (lucky I was at the dealer to do this) are things most people do not own at their homes, so the DIY at 25 minutes is unrealistic, even the pro install at 10 minutes is an HUGE understatement. If you have an ball hitch on the footstep it will have to be removed, because the nut underneath will be in the way of the hitch install.
