Why is My Exhaust Interfering with the Installation of the Curt Hitch 1352 on a 2009 Chevy Colorado

i have a 2009 chevy colorado and having problem in stalling curtis hitch part #13252 due to the fact that exhaust runs to the back of the bumper.did i get wrong hitch or do i have to cut exhaust.

It looks like you have aftermarket exhaust on your 2009 Chevy Colorado, the factory exhaust does not come out nearly as far as yours. I attached a picture of where the factory exhaust should exit and this is why the # 13252 is not fitting.
You will need to go back to an OEM style exhaust style to be able to install the hitch.
