Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this horse trailer butt bar pad. Now, trailer butt bars do help keep your horse secure, but direct contact with that metal surface can be uncomfortable. So that's where this pad comes in. It's going to give you a soft cushion barrier to help reduce impact and improve comfort during travel.
Before we go any further, let me give you some measurements. So the fabric or the cover is gonna hang over the pad just a little bit. So just giving you the measurement of that pad. We're sitting right at 29 inches long and then going in for a closeup here, lemme bring this around here, the width is gonna be right at five inches. And then the pad itself, just looking at the thickness here, we're pretty close to about two inches or so.
And then that inner diameter, this is kind of tricky to show you, but that inner diameter is gonna be about two inches as well. So as you can see, the padding is pretty generous there. And this is built for repeated use. This heavy duty black vinyl cover is going to protect the padding from wear and it's gonna be very simple to wipe clean after a trip. It's durable, so I think it's gonna hold up really well for you, but it's gonna also be very easy to clean.
And then with a round shape and a two inch inner diameter of this pad is designed to slide directly over that butt bar for quick hassle-free installation. And so you're not gonna have to worry about fasteners or tools or anything like that to get this installed. It was a lot bigger than what I needed. I’m refurbishing a 77 Cherokee 2 horse slant. Easy enough to make it fit though, had to test my feeble sewing skills though.
