Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Taylor Made Marine Gas Strut for boat hatches. This gas strut is gonna replace one worn or damaged strut on your boat's hatch. This does have a compression force of 50 pounds, so it is going to help compress to gently close your hatch without slamming, potentially catching your fingers or gear in there, causing damage. And then it's also going to extend to help ease lifting your hatch lid and to make that easier for you. This does install on your 10 millimeter ball stud, so we've got the two 10 millimeter ball sockets here, they're going to snap right onto those ball studs on your boat's hatch.
Our length from the center of one ball socket to the center of the other is right about 10 inches, so make sure that that's gonna work for your boat's hatch. This is constructed of a heat-treated steel, so it is gonna be very durable for you, it's got a corrosion resistant coating on it, so it's not gonna rust even in your saltwater areas, so it will hold up well, no matter where you're taking your boat. That's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com, thanks for watching..
