Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this RV Designer gas strut. So this is a gas strut, the kind of support arm that you see holding things up like your RV doors, truck caps, or storage compartments. And its main job is to make opening and closing smoother and a whole lot safer. This is built to last.
It has a durable black finish on it. And retrieving my tape measure here, measuring center of socket to center of socket, as you can see, we're sitting at 10 inches. And so this is going to give you about 60 pounds of lifting force, which is gonna help take some of the weight off when you lift something like a cargo door or a bed platform. Instead of slamming it shut, this strut is gonna control the movement, so it's gonna open easily and close in a more controlled way. This does not include any hardware, so you will reuse the ball studs that this will attach to.
This is a ball socket installation. That's gonna wrap up our look today. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
The product worked great. Easy installa tion.
We replaced the gas struts on the rv king size bed that came with our 5th wheel with these because after we upgraded the mattress the original ones couldn't support the weight. These are working much better and support the weight of the bed when lifted up with no problemo. They were very easy to swap out from the original ones also.
