Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this custom fit trunk lid gas strut. Now this has been designed to fit your 2010 to 2013 Mazda 3 Hatchback or Sedan. So this gas strut is a direct replacement for the one that's going to help lift and hold up your trunk lid. So if your trunk doesn't stay open anymore or if it slams shut, this is going to be the part that's going to fix all of that. When you open your trunk, this strut extends smoothly to lift and hold the lid in place. And then when you close it, this is going to compress slowly so the trunk lowers in a controlled way instead of slamming shut.

There is a built-in dampening groove inside the tube that's gonna prevent bouncing, so it operates smoothly in both hot and cold conditions. This is also designed to last. The internal wiper is gonna keep the rod lubricated with oil that's gonna help reduce friction and prevent sticking over time. This outer tube is black powder coated and the rod has a nitrate coating. So both are gonna help resist rust and corrosion.

Insulation should be pretty simple. It will be tool free. This will connect directly to your vehicle's original mounting points using ball and socket connections. So you're just gonna basically snap this into place. Now lemme lay this down here.
