This pump is as simple to use as a commerical gas pump. To start siphoning, just flip the switch on the powered pump head. Squeeze the handle harder to increase the rate of flow as you pump, and back off to slow it down. A simple twist of the handle locks it into place and allows for continuous flow of liquid without the need to squeeze. When you are done pumping, simply release the handle and turn off the device.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at this TeraPump Fuel Transfer Pump with meter and rechargeable battery. So I'm gonna go ahead and lay this down on my table and go in for a close up here. And we're gonna go over the features that this pump offers. So this battery pump is going to let you transfer fuel from a 15, 30, or 55-gallon drum to your tractor, your truck, and other equipment.
It's gonna be perfect for garages, shops, yards, farms, docks, and even campsites. This pump is compatible with liquids such as gasoline, diesel, DEF, AdBlue, water, kerosene, antifreeze, windshield washer fluid, mild detergents, agricultural chemicals, and light oils. It is not compatible with hot water, concentrated acids, acetone, benzene, carousel, ethyl, drinking water, phenyl, methyl, ethyl, and concentrated caustic soda, liquid nitric acid, and hydrochloric acid, or sulfuric acid. Now, to go over some of the features here, this does have a flow meter attachment that is going to measure the amount to transfer in gallons, and liters, and pints, or quarts with a plus or negative 1%. And it does require two AAA batteries that you can see, we do have batteries in this.
And the flow rate is up to 4.2 gallons per minute. Now, this does have a telescoping intake tube, that's going to adjust to fit various drum Heights. So just loosening this up here. I'm just gonna give you a, I have this intake tube collapsed right now, but I'm just gonna loosen this up here a little bit. And as you can see, that's going to easily extend depending on how far you needed to.
When it's completely collapsed, it's 22 1/4 inches long. And then when you have it fully extended, it's 33 3/4-inches long, and the diameter is 1 3/8 inches. Now, this drum buttress adapter is easy to grip, making it simple to tighten or loosen up, and it is adjustable to fit various drum bungholes. And we mentioned that this is rechargeable. This has a lithium-ion battery and it's very easy to remove.
You just squeeze the sides of the battery there. And this fully-charged battery is going to be able to discharge up to 238 gallons. And this takes three hours to fully charge. And as you can see, there's a battery check feature on here. So if you push that button, it gives you a indicator of how much juice you have in that battery. And it looks like we're on the last light there, so it looks like we're running pretty low. So again, easy to remove. It's gonna be easy to replace. It just snaps right into place. And the nozzle handle, with this swivel nut, is going to provide 360-degree rotation to prevent your hose from tangling. And I also wanted to point out that it has a lock here. So when you are filling up a tank or something like that, after you turn the pump on, you would hold down this handle to let that flow. And then if you have a lot of fluid that you're transferring, you just turn this while you have the handle pushed down and that's going to keep that handle depressed or open, so this can continue to flow without you needing to squeeze that handle. Obviously, you don't wanna do this while this is unattended. You wanna be there, so you don't accidentally overflow or anything like that, but that is a nice feature of this handle. The power switch has an LED light to confirm when the unit is on. You can see that right here and you just flip the power switch. And then as I mentioned, you just squeeze the nozzle handle to control the rate of flow and then release the handle and turn the power switch off to stop the flow. Now, this rubber discharge hose is 79 inches long and the hose itself consists of four layers and is oil, flame, and cold resistant. And this high grade polyester construction is flexible. And I wanted to point out too, let me go back to my wide view here, standing this up, it does have a holster for the nozzle, so you can just hook it up right there and that'll keep the nozzle out of the way. And then it's easy to remove when you are ready to use it. Now, the pump dimensions, I wanna begin with the overall length. So the overall length from end to end, when this is collapsed is about 33 inches long. And the head itself, the portion that will be sitting on top of the tank that you're gonna be pumping out of, this is gonna be sticking out about 10 3/4 inches, so it's about 10 3/4 inches tall. And then the overall width of the head is about 3 3/8 inches wide. Overall, this weighs about 10 pounds. And this does include an AC adapter to charge that battery and instructions to go over a little more detail, the features and the proper way to use this. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. Good product, I am 85 yrs old and rehab old tractors,can’t hold a 5gal gas can up on one anymore. This is a great product.
The pump works well.
I transfer diesel into my JD tractor that has its tank about 6’ off the ground. The only issue I have is the screw on filter is too large to fit into some 5 gallon cans.
Used the transfer pump about six times before the "off" button stopped working and gas overflowed onto my driveway. etrailer took it back for a replacement under warranty and when I never received the replacement, I contacted them. They mistakenly processed the return as a refund and not an exchange. Due to this, I had to pay for the second pump to be delivered, the original was a gift from my kids. I am hoping I have better luck with the replacement pump. My past experiences with etrailer have always been positive
The long discharge hose is what i needed to reach from the fuel container on the ground to the fuel tank inlet behind the seat on my Kubota tractor! Works like a charm!

Considering the condition of the box when it arrived I'm surprised it works...USPS is a joke and I never send anything with them...luckily the pump is very durable and works just fine
Essential to transfer gas or diesel to the truck, tractor or to get fine control filling a diesel heater, uses AA batteries and lasts a fair amount of time til they need to be recharged. Auto shut-off is great. Highly recommend.

I use these for lawnmowers, weed whackers, Ranger and snow throwers. It’s like pulling up to a gas station and filling up. It also prevents spills. Well you can spill but it’s designed Not to. 5 Stars!!!
I like this pump and use it for kerosene transfer to a heater. It works well quickly making the transfer. I use the can adapters on two different 5 gallon cans. The manufacturer needs to make a sealing cap that fits the pump threads on each adapter when taking the can for a fill-up.I would give it 5 stars if that were the case.

I purchased this fuel pump to use for refueling from 5 gallon gas tanks. It empties 5 gallons in about 4 minutes. It is much easier than holding the 5 gallon tank while trying to refill a gas tank.

At first blush....unimpressed. everything is plastic....which by itself may not be bad....but it's thin and likely not going to hold up to cold or any kind of impact. Haven't tried it yet but even good performance won't make the materials better.
This unit as worked so well, I have told several people to purchase it. My wife can fill her own lawn tractor now and doesn't have to wait for me to come home. It is awesome.
I like it. It is used to fuel my farm tractor. It was very hard to get the can up onto the tractor and pour it. This pump is so nice I just set the fuel can on the floor board and the nozzle reaches the fuel tank. I should have bought this product years ago.
they fit very hard on my VP race jugs and they leak right at the jug. The large black part that screws onto the jug is kinda junk. Not reliable to not leak if tipped just very little and very hard to screw on without cross threading.
Works well transferring diesel from truck bed tank to OEM tank. I didn't want to alter the bed with holes or alter OEM tank with fuel line modifications while in warranty. This was solution I chose and it worked perfect.
Great pump for transferring liquids, using mine for diesel and a second pump for gas. Batteries have a fair life, would prefer having a rechargeable pump or even better using he batteries for my DeWalt tools.
