Video Transcript for How to Install the WeatherTech HP Front Auto Floor Mats on a 2021 Dodge Durango

Hey everybody. Cooper here at e-trailer and today we're going to be taking a look at the WeatherTech HP front floor mats on our 2021 Dodge Durango. Now, before we get these installed, a couple things that'll help our process along is if you already have front floor mats, go ahead and take those out and remove them. Go ahead and vacuum out your front seats and move your front seats as far back as you can just to help give yourself a little wiggle room when installing these. Before we install our floor mats, we did just wanna point out that we do have two anchor points which are going to snap down into our vehicle to help give 'em a nice firm fit as well as these anti skid nibs, which are just going to also help keep our floor mats in place. But we're gonna go ahead and turn that around.

On the driver's side, you wanna make sure that you feed them up under the pedals first, and then just go ahead and try to find that anchor point connection and get that snapped down. (mat snapping) And then once you do both of those, it'll be installed. Now to repeat these steps on our passenger side, I'm gonna go ahead and toggle our floor mat up a little bit just to help slide it as far up as we can get it, and then finding those anchor points down on our floor and just snapping those into place. (mat snapping) You may find yourself having to stretch out the floor mat a little bit, just secure that last knob but with both of 'em clicked down, we are installed. Now with our floor mats installed, we can see that we do have a very tight contour around all the different curving points on our car.

We might see some areas that are still a little bit raised but that's just probably from the memory of being folded up and stuck in a box. You'll find that over time those will work themselves out and fit almost seamlessly into your car. Over on our driver's side, we see pretty similarly that we are fitting around all the contours and different curves of our car pretty seamlessly. Again, there are a couple of those little raised edges that are just gonna work themselves out over time. Now with our HP design, we do have higher walls considered to the other option available so we are engaging with our pedal a little bit sooner but still not in a way that would leave me worried that these two might get tangled up together.

Taking a closer look in on our floor mats, we can see that we have these nice raised ridge areas and what that's going to do is just help keep our feet up on these raised parts, trapping any dirt, grime, or spills we may have down in these channels, making sure we're not taking that anywhere else with us. Both of our mats are going to be made of this really nice rubberized thermoplastic. Well, that essentially means it's going to stand up over years of use, getting in your car, getting outta your car, spilling things on it, as well as cleaning up those spills within your vehicle. Overall, I do think that the weather tech mats are a really nice option if you just wanna help keep your car a little more clean. We do have them in this nice slick black here but there are more color options available here at e-trailer and with these specifically, these are the high wall designs, meaning that's going to even more so help trap a lot of that dirt and grime or anything else might be splashing around in your car.
