Heavy-duty 5th-wheel trailer hitch has interlocking jaws, a torsion head, and a color-coded lock indicator for safety and security. Non-binding slider ensures proper clearance during slow turns. Rails and universal installation kit sold separately.

Specs:
Unlike slide-bar models, the rounded, interlocking, two-piece jaw on this fifth-wheel trailer hitch inhibits rattle and movement by securely wrapping around your trailer's king pin, resulting in easier hookup and a safer, quieter ride.
Get peace of mind with Curt's color-coded lock indicator. Just look at the indicator - either the one on the handle or the one on the hitch itself - to determine whether the jaw is in the correct position to uncouple (red), couple (yellow) or tow (green).
Most often used on trucks with 6' and 6-1/2' beds, this slider helps to eliminate clearance problems during slow-speed turns. When you are towing a fifth-wheel trailer, your hitch must be situated on the cab side of your truck's rear axle. However, at slow speeds you can use a slider to slide the fifth-wheel hitch (and the trailer) toward your truck's tailgate and past the rear axle, creating enough space between the cab of your truck and the trailer to permit less-restricted turning.

Have a great day everyone!
Installation went smoothly, havn't hooked up to trailer yet but everything seems to work smoothly. Hitch delivery was a day early.
Awesome works great for standard bed
Representative very helpful with the order to make sure I was getting the right part of my truck. Order package well and ship on time and receive in the 3 day delivery window.
Thank you
Great Hitch, very happy with this unit. Have pulled the 18K lb fifth wheel over 25K miles (Florida to Idaho, back to Florida and now Alaska). We have covered many rough roads and challenging situations, without problems and have never had a bad couple.
The hitch indicator on front of head gives a clear indication of latching condition, and the latch handle has a locking pin for added protection. This pin is the only issue I have had, which can be trapped under the slide plate if your truck is at an angle (beyond about 35 deg) from the rv. I make it a point to pull this pin prior to backing if I am the least bit concerned.
This is a great hitch! Excellent quality and it's made here in America.
This is very well built and operates great. Once I got the first rail positioned and mounted, everything else was very easy. The R20 slider came in a single box and was very heavy. The packaging is not suitable for the weight. As others have also reported, the package was completely demolished when it arrived. Thankfully , all the part’s made it okay and nothing was damaged. I love the product.
Two boxes del by UPS in good shape for the weight, I installed this myself, while still boxed I lifted into my Ram 2500 to handle easier, installed into my pucks then assembled the rest, went very well, the label they want you to put on driver side you can’t even read, let alone while holding in hand, we will be heading to the mountains of Colorado soon, we’ve always had a bumper pull till now, I’m sure this will work very well, this is 20K double jaw, thank you
Like everyone writes. Packaging is light for such 5th wheel heavy metal hitches. just some scuffs but everything was there (incl hardware). R20 roller box fell apart. A20 hitch head box was intact and well packed with styrofoam. Installed same day. Can't wait to camp. I've upgraded from Husky 15k slider to Curt A20 w/ R20 slider. I kept my original Reese rails for my Ram3500 puck system. Everything fit together. Ordering was easy over the phone. Delivery was quick. All nice things to say. Thanks you all around.
The A20 hitch and R20 slider are outstanding products.
One issue I had was the differing instructions on bolting the two together.
The A20 instructions are for bolting to stationary’leg’ base. The R20 slider instructions are what I used and worked very well.
Love it. Easy to take apart and move! The instructions were very clear on how to assemble. I pull a 43ft camper and have yet to have any problems! Well worth the $$
I have towed with the Curt A20 for a few thousand miles. I really like this hitch. The visual hooked versus unkooked indicator is awesome. It operates flawlessly. I do get some chucking over bridge expansion joints. However, it seems like most people have this problem. On normal roads it pulls great.
2008 Dodge 3500 Mega Cab Laramie DRW.
Fit the rails already in the truck perfect. Easy to assemble. Did 95% of it before I even looked at the instructions. I believe it will work well when I finally get the chance to use it.
The Hitch is Great! The shipping box was almost destroyed when I received it, this was the second hitch that I bought from etrailer and again the product was great but the shipping box was almost non-existing. Improve the shipping box.
Hitch slid into existing rails after a very minor adjustment. Took my son and I about 25 minutes to assemble, torgue bolts and adjust rails in the bed of my truck. we have used it twice already and camper did not bang and pop like it did on old worn out receiver.
The ordering process was also very smooth. Kelsey took the time to explain the differences in the hitches before I made my decision!
I Would recommend both etrailer and this hitch if you are looking to change out!
Hitch came packed well even though the box looked banged up. Everything was still undamaged and in good usable condition, just minor scuffs. I think this unit will have more when I get done with it. Watched a you tube video from curt on installation and had little trouble installing the hitch following the enclosed guidelines. Everything lined up according to plan. I think the hardest part was getting access by the heat shield. Tough spot to work on but I had help from a younger, more adapt helper who was able to manage just fine. A creeper for underneath was super handy and a 6 foot ladder to climb in and out of the bed made it a whole lot easier. Really did not need to use a lift. Would have made it a bit harder to work in the bed. My truck is quite high which allowed nice working space underneath.
