We are considering buying a 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500HD High Country and it already has one of these hitches installed. It is a 6.6foot bed. What about this. Someone hauled a RV to Fl with it.

It's not uncommon for people to install fifth wheel hitches in the bed of their trucks like the Curt A20 for GM Rail Kits part # C16064 that you referenced. This is a solid hitch, but since your truck is a short bed you'd instead need the slider versions part # C55DR with Rails # C47BR to give you the clearance to make tight turns without the cab of your truck hitting the nose of the trailer.
