Hey, it's Ethan here at Etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install these Weather Tech front auto floor mats on our 2022 Ford Edge. It's gonna be a really easy install. They'll just snap into place. So if you maybe work a job where you're getting in and out of your car frequently, tracking things in and out that you'd rather not store inside your vehicle. You want something that you can just take out, rinse off, put back in as you need to.
These are gonna be a great option for you. So let's check 'em out. The first step you might need to do is to take out your factory mats, which we've already done, but on the backside here, you can see that we do have these two anchor points spots, and if we look down where our mat is gonna sit, we can see that there are those two anchor points already there. So for the Ford Edge, we do have those, and we'll fit those in. So what we're gonna do is get our mat.
I like to go up under the pedals first and then line it up with those anchor points down here at the bottom. We'll see where they fit in. It's just kind of a matter of finding where they'll start, and then you'll pop them down into place just like that, and they're installed. For our passenger side mat, there are no anchor points. So it's just a matter of sliding it up into place.
They're laser-measured and cut, so they fit the contours of the inside perfectly. So honestly, friction is enough to hold 'em in place. Taking a closer look at our driver's side mat here, we can see that there are these channels as well as these ridges. That's just gonna work to funnel liquids and debris away from your shoes, so you're not just spreading them and tracking them all over the mat, but to funnel them into one place where you can either then vacuum it out, or you can, again, just take the mat out, rinse it off and put it back in, and also because it is laser measured, as I mentioned, on the passenger side mat, we see it contours around everything that we need. You have plenty of space behind our brake and gas pedals to get your foot, press those down and not worry about anything getting stuck back there.
They're pretty high walls, again. So anything that you're tracking on here will just funnel in to an area where you can deal with it as you'd like to. The mats are made of a rubberized plastic material that's gonna hold up really well to long-term use, whether that's just what you're bringing in, taking them in and out frequently, just tracking your shoes on them over and over again, will hold up for a long period of time. In this case, we have the black color which fits our interior really well, but there are different color options available. If you wanna look into those at etrailer.com, you can do that too. So overall, if you're looking for a really quick installation, something that's going to last for a long time, gonna keep the interior of your car really protected with nice coverage overall and really quality material, these Weather Tech front auto floor mats are definitely a great option for you.
