Video Transcript for Review of Optronics Emergency Vehicle Lights - Low Profile Amber LED Strobe Warning Light - OPT38AB

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Optronics Low-Profile Amber LED Strobe Warning Light. Now, this amber strobe beacon light for your vehicle is going to give you a warning signal to help increase safety. This is going to be ideal for emergency, towing, plowing, transportation, warehouse, and other agricultural applications, and this light is SAE JA45, Class 1-approved for emergency applications, and this has the California Title 13, Class B certification. So, as you can see, I do have this connected to power right now, and I'm using one of the patterns here at the offset. Now, I do wanna warn you that I'm going to shut my lights off here and go through the patterns, so if you are sensitive to flashing light, just be aware.

It's gonna be quite a bit more effective when I have my lights turned off. So, lemme give you a closeup view. So, this is a pattern that I'm using here just to start our time together here, and then lemme go ahead and I'm just going to go back to my wide view there and I'm gonna shut my lights off here and then I'm gonna go through the patterns here, and we have 11. So, we have a switch here that's on the plugin that I'm going to show you here, but just going through the patterns. So, you have 11 different patterns that can be controlled by a switch.

Now, this one, it may look like it's flickering, but it's not. This is a stationary pattern here, it's just flickering because of what the LEDs look like going through my camera, so I just wanted to make you aware of that. But, again, as you know, LEDs are highly efficient, they're durable, they're long-lasting, and this light also has electromagnetic interference shielded so your lights can't be disrupted or turned off. So, I think I'm almost through all of 'em there, so you got 11 here, and quite a variety, so that's going back to the original one, my favorite one, actually. I'm gonna go ahead and turn my studio lights back on here, and I'm gonna go ahead and turn the power off and give you another closeup view here.

So, as I mentioned here on our plugin, you've got a switch here. This is in the on position. There's a light there that's going to indicate when it's on, that's gonna turn it off, and then this other switch is gonna be how you go through those patterns. So, this is gonna be very easy. Obviously, this is going to plug into your 12 volt auxiliary outlet, and this light features a polycarbonate lens and aluminum sealed housing, so this is going to be very durable and weather-resistant.

It feels durable, it feels like it's going to hold up really well. It doesn't feel inexpensive or anything like that. This has an IP rating of IP67, and that magnetic base is going to allow you to easily mount this to your vehicle just as long as it has a metal roof there. So, easily mount this to your roof, it's gonna allow you to relocate it easily if you so desire. There are also holes here along the base, so you could permanently mount this if you choose, you would just have to supply that hardware. And the length of this cord is about eight-feet-long, and then retrieving my ruler here, let me give you the overall diameter, finding that up there for you. We're pretty close to about 4 5/16 inches in diameter, and again, this is low-profile. The overall height, about 1 7/8 inches tall.
