Today, we're going to be taking a look at part number DW-04368. This is the Deka self-fusing auto tape. It's going to measure one inch wide by ten feet long. The red self-fusing tape is going to be ideal for almost any application that requires a waterproof seal. It's also going to work as a great insulator with high dielectric strength. It really forms a permanent bond that is both airtight and waterproof.
If you ever need to peel it off, you don't ever have to worry about it leaving any type of residue behind. It's designed to fuse upon itself when wrapped. It's going to cure completely within twenty-four hours. It's also designed to be very stretchable. It's going to stretch to three hundred percent of its original length.
It insulates eight thousand volts per layer, so that way it really does a good job at protecting the wires and splices. This provides a really good alternative to heat shrink tubing. It's designed to resist UV rays, oil, and corrosive chemicals. Now when it comes to the applications, this would be great for marine connections, battery terminals, automotive hoses, color coding, cable splices, tool grip enhancement, and with this stuff, there's really a lot more applications that it would work with as well. Temperature range is sixty-five degrees Fahrenheit to five hundred degrees Fahrenheit. It meets or exceeds UL standard five ten. It meets MIL-I-46852C type two standard, and the product's made in the USA. That's going to do it for our review of part number DW-04368.
