Features to know about

Installs Without Cutting or Splicing: Plug-In Harness

Wiring a trailer doesn’t have to mean tapping into factory wires. This Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness uses a simple plug-in design that connects directly to the vehicle’s existing wiring. No wire cutting, no splicing—just match up the plugs and you’re ready to go. It’s fast, clean, and built for a solid connection every time.

Delivers Reliable Trailer Signals: 4-Pole Flat Connector

The included 4-flat trailer connector gives you the basics—running lights, turn signals, and brake lights—all in one weather-resistant plug. It’s the standard setup for most small and mid-size trailers and makes it easy to hook up your lights safely before hitting the road.

Protects Vehicle Electronics: Powered Converter Built In

Modern vehicles can be sensitive to how trailer wiring taps into their electrical systems. This harness includes a powered converter that draws power directly from the battery instead of the tail light circuit. That means it keeps your vehicle electronics protected while providing consistent power to your trailer lights.

Ready for DIY Installs: Works Without a Factory Tow Package

You don’t need a factory tow package to wire up your trailer. This harness is designed for vehicles that don’t come prewired from the factory, so you can add towing capability on your own. With its labeled connectors and straightforward layout, it’s a great fit for a weekend DIY project.

Video Transcript for Feature Review Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector-C47RV

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with four pole flat trailer connector. Now this harness has been designed to fit your 2024 and newer Buick Envista and on custom fit parts such as this harness, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide. Just input the year, make and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have another harness that will work for you. Now this harness is going to give you that four pole flat trailer connector at the back of your Buick to power your trailer signal lights.

This is also going to be compatible with five pole, six pole and seven pole adapters. Those adapters are sold separately. And included here is this dust cap that's going to cover up those connection points when this plug is not in use. So it's gonna protect it from dusts and debris and moisture and keep it nice and clean for you for when you are ready to use it. Now this black box here is a powered taillight converter.

This is going to ensure that your vehicle's wiring matches that of your trailer. This is going to connect directly to your vehicle's battery to avoid overloading its electrical system, reducing strain on your wiring system. By the way, Curt does build each converter using surface mount technology for consistent, reliable performance. It will maximize trailer light yield and intensity while producing minimal heat, ensuring superior operation in rough road conditions. Now this harness has been designed to connect quickly and easily.

You will need to locate your vehicle's wiring harness and it should be located behind the driver's side and passenger side taillights. You will have to remove the cargo area floorboard and loosen the sidewall trim. But once you locate those connectors, you're gonna separate them, being careful not to break the locking tabs and then you're gonna insert these T-connector ends between the vehicle's wiring connectors and lock them into place. These T-connectors are custom fitted for your Envista, so they're gonna match up perfectly with the connection points. They're gonna snap and lock together for a tight, secure fit.

Now once you have those plugged in, you will need to make a good ground connection. The ground wire is this white wire. As you can see, it does have a ring terminal attached to it. And it does come with a self-tapping screw that you can see right there, so you can get this grounded to a suitable location such as your vehicle's frame or crossmember. You just wanna make sure that that surface is clean and rust free. Next, you will need to mount this converter box to a safe out of the way location. You can do that with another mounting screw that you might have on hand, or you can use the included double-sided adhesive tape, or maybe even one of the mini cable ties that's included with the kit to secure this out of the way. Next, you will need to run the hot lead to the vehicle's battery. That's the short black wire that's coming out of the converter box. This short black wire is going to get connected to one end of this included bundle of black wire using one of the included butt connectors. And then the other end of this routed black bundle of wire is going to get routed to your vehicle's battery. And once you have this routed to your vehicle's battery, you're going to take this fuse holder here and then the second butt connector and connect that routed end of this bundle of wire to one of the wires here of this fuse holder. And then you're gonna take this ring terminal and attach it to the other wire. And then that ring terminal is going to get connected to the positive posts of your vehicle's battery. This does come with a 10 amp fuse and that's going to slide into that holder and then you'll just close that cap to keep that fuse safe and protected. You can secure any slack in your wiring, again, with the cable ties that is included with this kit. And then once the installation is complete, the four way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch receiver. You will need to pick up a mounting bracket if you don't already have one. So you can find those mounting bracket options here at etrailer.com and that'll keep that plug secure outside of your vehicle by your trailer hitch receiver. Instructions are included to guide you through the installation process, and it is also recommended that you use a small amount of dielectric grease on all of your electrical connections, like the plugs on your vehicle and the four pole flat connector itself. That grease is designed to help prevent electrical failures caused by corrosion and moisture. So on your screen, I am including our item number for that grease. You can just take that item number, pop it in the search field of our website, that will take you to that grease, and you can add that to your order. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

on point and ultrafast .never a problem

Actually the product was excellent and worked perfect. My issue was with the installation instructions. I would believe that the instructions were for a different Buick. Instructions to access the tail light plugs was actually under the car, not behind the side panel.
