Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this cargo smart rotating safety J hook for the E track and X track systems. It has a 200 pound working load limit. Now this J hook will let you hang gear inside your enclosed trailer on your workshop wall. So it is perfect for hanging cables, hoses, or other coiled items.

And it is a rotating design on this hook. You can see right now I have it extended out to hang stuff on. When you're not hanging stuff, and you don't need it in use, just lift on it, rotate it to either the left or the right, and it'll hold the hook out of the way. So it helps save space and prevents a catch hazard in high traffic areas. Again, just raise it up, bring it down, and it'll hook it into place.

Now it does use this non-marring rubber coating on the hook here to protect your items or your cargo from any scratches.And to install this, it's a very easy installation. You just snap this spring loaded fitting into your E track or X track anchor points. And to show you what we're talking about, I happened to pull a section of the X track. And as I mentioned, it'll will work in either this x track or an E track, but basically what you'll do to install it is again pull on that spring loaded lever at the top, put it insert at the top, drop it in the bottom, and it locks the hook into place and you're ready to go.And if you need to move it, just pull the lever again and lift up on it, put it into the next one, drop it into place, and you're ready to go. And we mentioned about the hooks swinging to the side.

If you just push up on it and pull it down, it'll stay in that position. Same way you can go all the way to the other way and drop it in. And again, it hooks into place so it won't just move out. And then when you need to use it, put it to the middle and then drop it, and it's extended out just like that. And again, you can even use it if it's mounted this way, you can use it in that direction, just like that.

So it makes the hook you can easily move it from one location and other very quickly.And it's simple to hook up and remove. This does have a nice gray powder coat steel construction. It's very strong and durable. Specs on this. The safe working load limit is 200 pounds. Now, a few measurements on this. If we measure the outside depth, when it's extended like this, if we go from the inside here to the very far outside, it's right at five inches. Inside depth from here to the inside of the hook, it's right at four and a half or four and a quarter inches. And the overall height if we measure from the inside bottom up to the very top, is going to be right at about six inches tall.
