Features:
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper, near the center of your vehicle.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Hopkins Plug-in Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. This product fits certain years of the Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator. It's going to provide a 4-way trailer connector at the back of the vehicle to power your trailer signal lights. This is compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole, and 7-pole adapters, adapters are sold separately, and it comes with a dust cap for the 4-way flat connector. That way, you can cover up the connection points when your plug's not being used. Now, the unit also features protective connection terminals to resist corrosion and last a long time. This is going to connect quickly and easily.
You don't have to worry about cutting or splicing any wires, just locate the connection point in the rear of the vehicle, you're going to have one connection to make. This plug right here is going to match up perfectly with the port on the vehicle, it's going to push together and snap lock together for a nice, tight, secure fit. Once you have that plugged in, you'll need to make your ground connection, that's going to be the white wire with ring terminal attached to it. You want to get that grounded in a nice, clean, metal surface with the included grounding screw, and then you can secure the excess, or slacken the wiring with the included cable ties. Once your installation's complete, the 4-way connectors are going to be stowed beneath the vehicle, near the trailer hitch. We do recommend using the mounting bracket to keep the connector secure.
Mounting brackets are sold separately, so if you're in need of one, you can find one here at etrailer.com. It's also recommended that you use a small amount of grease in all your electrical connections, like the plug on the vehicle right here and the 4-pole connector itself, that's going to help resist corrosion, and the grease is included with the kit. That's going to do it for today's look at the Hopkins Plug-in Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector.
