Hi everybody! Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at this T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Now, this harness is designed to fit your 2007 to 2012 Lexus ES 350 and this harness is going to give you a four pole flat trailer connector at the back of your Lexus to power your trailer signal lights. This is going to be compatible with five pole, six pole, and seven pole adapters, and those adapters are sold separately. And as you can see here, included is a tethered dust cap for the four pole flat connector, which is going to ensure that, the tethering here is going to ensure that you're not going to lose that cap, which is nice, but it's also going to cover up those connection points when this plug is not in use, and so it's going to keep it free of dirt, grime, and moisture. Now the black box that is on this harness is a ModuLite power module. Now, the ModuLite is going to ensure that your vehicle's wiring matches out of your trailer.

It does connect directly to your battery, so it will avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system, reducing strain on your vehicle's wiring system, and this will not affect how the taillights on your Lexus operates. This harness is designed to connect quickly and easily. So what's nice about this harness is there's not going to be any splicing of wires, no alterations to your vehicle's wiring, which could possibly lead to damage or voiding warranties. The connections with the yellow right here are gonna go into your driver's side and the connections with the green wires that you see here are gonna go to the passenger side of your Lexus. Now, the custom fit T-One connector plugs are going to plug into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located inside your trunk, behind the taillight, on both the driver's side and passenger side.

You will need to remove some interior trim or carpeting to access the harness, and these key connectors are custom fitted for your Lexus, so they're gonna match up perfectly with the connection points on your vehicle and they snap and lock together for a nice, tight, secure fit. Now once you have these plugged in, you will need to make a good ground connection, and the ground wire is this white wire. It has a ring terminal attached to it, and it does come with a self tapping screw. And so you can get this grounded to a suitable location, such as your vehicle's frame or crossmember. You just wanna make sure that the surface is clean and rust free.

Next, you will need to mount your ModuLite box to a safe, out of the way location. You can do that with another mounting screw if you happen to have one on hand, or you can use this included double-sided adhesive tape or you can use one of the many cable ties that is included with this kit to mount this out of your way. Next, you will need to connect this short red wire that's coming out of the ModuLite box to your battery, and you can do that by using this included bundle of black wire, and what you're going to do is just simply connect one end of this black wire to the red wire that's coming out of your ModuLite box with one of the included butt connectors, and then you want to route the other end of this black wire all the way to the battery of your Lexus. And then once you have that routed, you're going to use another butt connector and connect the routed end of this wire to this fuse holder, and you're going to have to snip this in half and then use one end of the wire here with that butt connector, as I mentioned, to connect it to the routed wire, and then you'll use the other end and take the ring terminal here and connect that to the other end of this fuse holder, and then you will connect that to the positive side, positive post of your battery in your Lexus. And then this does come with a 10 amp fuse and you'll just slide that fuse into the fuse holder and then close that cap, and that's going to keep your fuse holder nice and protected.

Now you can secure any excess or slack in your wiring with the included cable ties. And once installation is complete, you're just going to stow your four-way flat connector in your trunk and that's gonna be a nice easy way to keep it out of the way when you're not using it. Now, the maximum amperage for your stop turn lights is 2.1 amps per circuit, and for the taillights it's 5.6 amps per circuit. And this is constructed of 16 gauge bonded wire. Instructions are included to walk you through the step-by-step installation process for this wiring harness. Now, it is also recommended that you use a small amount of dielectric grease on all of your electrical connections, like your plugs and your four pole connector itself. It's designed to help prevent electrical failures caused by corrosion and moisture.
