Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Hopkins Endurance 10 foot long Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck 90 degree Wiring Harness with the Seven Way Blade Connector. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2004 Ford F150 Heritage Series with the factory seven way. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model of vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for application.
Now, this T connector wiring harness here will use your factory tow package to add a seven way socket in your truck bed, while also retaining the use of the seven way at your vehicle's bumper. This part will include everything laid out here on the table. The 10 foot long wiring harness, the seven way connector with the mounting hardware to install it. Couple packets of dielectric grease to install on your electrical connections when you put this all together. Some nylon ties that take up any slack in the wiring, and a nice set of installation instructions that'll describe how this all goes together.
Now, this does install very quickly and easily. There is no cutting and splicing required. Basically, you just plug in this T connector here into the factory wiring into your vehicle's factory installed seven way connector, and then you run this 10 foot length of wire. This one is from your rear bumper to your truck bed. It does provide this seven-way blade style connector in your truck bed for hassle-free hookup of your fifth wheel and gooseneck trailers.
And what's nice, when this is run to your truck bed, this will install in the side of your truck bed, you can see it has a 90 degree angle to it, so it'll fit into the tight spaces in your truck bed side rails. And then this will just install in there just like that to give you your seven way on the side of your truck bed. If you notice, the lid on this has a nice oversized hinge, which will open 180 degrees for a nice, easy connection. And again, when you do install this, this harness will retain the use of the seven way that is still at the rear of your truck. It does offer enhanced weatherproofing, has some nice internal seals on it, corrosion-resistant terminals, and nice rubber coated copper wiring.
It is constructed of extremely durable ABS plastic. Again, the harness length of this is 10 feet. One thing I do also wanna mention, they have this white wire with an eyelet coming out of it. This needs to be grounded, so you will connect this to a nearby ground, or you can make your own ground. The wire gauges on this harness, the purple, green, yellow, and brown wires are a 16 gauge size. And the blue, red, and white wires are a 12 gauge size. But that should do it for the review on this Hopkins Endurance 10 foot long Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck 90 degree Wiring Harness with the Seven Way Blade Connector.
