These front tie-downs bolt right to your truck’s frame using pre-existing holes, so there’s little to no drilling and no cutting or modification needed. The mounts sit tight against the frame for a clean, solid fit with minimal loss of ground clearance. When not in use, the removable arms come off quickly so the brackets stay tucked out of sight, keeping your truck’s lines clean and uncluttered.

Built for heavy campers and long hauls, these tie-downs use military-grade aluminum alloy arms that are both strong and rustproof. The receiver brackets are stainless steel for extra toughness, and everything is finished with a high-impact powder coat that helps resist road wear and corrosion. You get the kind of strength you can count on without adding unnecessary weight.
Frame-mounted tie-downs spread your camper’s weight evenly across the truck frame instead of hanging it high at the bed rails. That lower center of gravity keeps your setup stable in wind, corners, or uneven roads. The result is a solid feel on the highway—your camper stays put, and your truck handles naturally without sway or shifting.
Each tie-down arm has two pin holes so you can set how far it extends from the body for the best turnbuckle angle and clearance around sidewalls or fenders. Once dialed in, the setup locks tight for a steady connection that doesn’t flex or rattle. It’s a small detail that makes securing your camper faster and more foolproof every time you load up.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at these Torklift Talon custom frame mounted aluminum front camper Tie-downs. Now these tie-downs provide attachment points at the front of your truck bed for securing a bed mounted camper. These are a custom fit part, so these are designed to fit various versions of the early 2000 year models of the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado. To see if these are going to work for your truck take advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com and insert the year, make and model of your truck.
And our fit guide will let you know if these will work for you, or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, the frame mounted design is going to ensure excellent handling because securing your camper to your truck's base, instead of its bed better distributes weight to keep your setup from being too top heavy. The brackets are going to fit tight to your truck's frame. So there's not gonna be any loss of ground clearance. And these rust proof and lightweight aluminum alloy tie-down inserts are going to secure to durable stainless steel receiver brackets.
Now the inserts can be easily removed, from the frame mounted brackets, just remove the included bale pins here. That's going to secure the inserts inside of the receiver and they remove easily. Again, these aluminum inserts are lightweight and so they're gonna be very easy to remove from your receiver bracket and then throw them in the the back of the cab of your truck for easy storage. And then you're gonna be able to easily reinsert these when you are ready to use them. Again, these are rustproof and yes, they are lightweight but they are also very durable.
Now the inserts have two different holes. And so if your camper is a little bit wider you would use this first hole on the insert to have that tie down point, stick out a little bit farther. And if your camper is a little bit narrower, you can move it into this inner hole. And that's where I'm going to move this one back to where I had it originally and line up my holes with my pin. And that's how easy it is to reinsert it and secure it.
So this is gonna provide you a nice secure connection for your turn buckles. Now these feature a high impact powder coat finish. That's going to add an extra layer of protection to the brackets and the inserts and you're gonna get everything you see here on the table before me, you're gonna get two front tie down inserts. You're gonna get the frame brackets, the necessary hardware and instructions to walk you through step by, step on installing these. So you have everything here for a successful installation. The rear tie downs are sold separately but can be found here at etrailer.com. Again, by using our fit guide and these are made in the USA and have a limited lifetime warranty. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today, I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..

I wanted to touch base with you in regard to the Torklift tie downs. Have you heard back from Torklift? May I ask what type of hitch you have on the truck? What type of cab do you have? Is it an 8 foot bed? Do you have running boards that extend past the cab?

I have made about six trips this year and the Torklift truck camper tie down system has worked great. It is the only truck camper unit I would recommend.
