These frame-mounted tie-downs secure your camper directly to the most solid part of your truck, keeping everything steady even on long hauls or rough roads. By distributing the camper’s weight evenly across the frame, they lower the center of gravity and avoid that top-heavy feel that can cause sway or push in crosswinds. With a solid connection point instead of bed or bumper mounts, your camper stays put and your truck handles like it should.
When you’re done hauling, pull the arms off and your truck looks almost untouched. The brackets mount tight to the frame and sit nearly flush with the underside, so they’re barely visible once the arms are removed. That means you can keep a clean factory look without leaving bulky hardware hanging down.

These tie-downs bolt right into pre-existing holes in your truck’s frame for a custom fit that doesn’t require cutting or drilling. Because they mount to the frame instead of the bed, you keep full ground clearance and a strong mounting point. The included front and rear sets come with all necessary hardware so you can get them installed and ready without extra modifications.
Made of heavy-duty steel with a high-impact powder coat finish, these tie-downs are built to handle road vibration, weather, and tough travel conditions. The durable coating adds protection against chips and rust so they hold up mile after mile without weakening or corroding.
Each tie-down arm includes two pin holes so you can adjust how far they extend from the truck body to clear fenders or molded camper sides. Two anchor holes at each attachment plate let you set the best angle for your turnbuckles (sold separately), giving you a secure multi-angle hold that keeps your camper from shifting on the road.

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the TorkLift custom frame mounted camper tie-downs for the rear of the vehicle. This product fits many vehicles so to ensure that this is a fit for your vehicle, you can use the vehicle fit guide located at etrailer.com. These tie-downs provide attachment points at the rear of your truck bed for securing a bed mounted camper. Front tie-downs are sold separately and available at etrailer.com. The frame mounted design ensures excellent handling, so securing the camper to the truck's frame instead of its bed better distributes weight, which keeps the setup from being too top heavy. When they are not being used, the system is virtually undetectable. All you have to do when they're not being used is you can actually remove the arms and get them out of the way.
Now, I also want to point out that these arms have two pin holes in them so that way you can adjust it to whatever one fits best for your application. Once you have this setting achieved, you simply slide through the included pin and secure its clip on the other side. The tie-down inserts again can be easily removed from the frame mounted receiver brackets when they are not being used. The other thing I want to point out is that these brackets are custom fit for your vehicle. So these brackets are designed to fit tight to the truck frame. That way there's not a loss of ground clearance.
They're made from a nice, durable steel construction and they feature a black powder-coated finish on them, so they're going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. It does come with your tie-down inserts, the custom frame brackets and the pins and clips. You will use your existing hardware on the vehicle frame. It also comes with a set of detailed installation instructions to help walk you through that whole process step-by-step. This product is made in the USA and covered with a lifetime warranty. That's going to do it for today's look at the TorkLift custom frame mounted camper tie-downs for the rear of the vehicle..

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
