These TorkLift tie-downs bolt right up to your truck’s frame using pre-existing holes, so you don’t have to drill or modify anything. The tight fit keeps everything solid with minimal loss of ground clearance. Because the frame is the strongest part of the vehicle, mounting here gives your camper a stable base that handles like it should on the highway and over rough roads.
Frame-mounted tie-downs spread your camper’s weight evenly across the whole bed and lower its center of gravity. That means no top-heavy sway or shifting when crosswinds hit. Once tightened with turnbuckles (sold separately), the camper stays locked in place so you can drive with confidence, even on long hauls.
When you’re not hauling, pull the arms off and the brackets practically disappear under the truck. They sit tucked against the frame for a clean look without bulky hardware hanging below. You’ll barely notice they’re there until it’s time to load up again.

Each tie-down is made from heavy-duty steel and finished with a high-impact powder coat that adds an extra layer of protection against rust and road wear. From salt to gravel spray, the finish helps keep them looking good and performing strong through years of travel.
Each arm has two pin holes so you can extend it just far enough to clear fenders or sidewalls. Two anchor holes in each plate let you position your turnbuckles for the best angle to hold your camper tight from multiple directions, keeping everything secure mile after mile.

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this TorkLift Custom Camper Tie-Down Set. Now these tie-downs are gonna provide the attachment points at the front of your truck bed to secure your truck camper's turnbuckles. The rear tie-downs are sold separately but you will need those as well so that you have a tie-down at all four corners. This kit is designed specifically for your GMC Sierras and Chevrolet Silverados. It is going to fit on lots of different packages of your Silverados and Sierras.
So, I would recommend using our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. You'll select your year, make, and model, as well as the trim package and different accessories and that sort of thing, and we'll help you narrow it down to make sure that it's gonna work for you. But this is going to be custom fit for the Sierra and Silverado body type. These brackets are frame mounted, so they are gonna fit tight up against the truck frame so you're not gonna lose any ground clearance. And that's gonna also help to ensure excellent handling by securing the camper to your truck's base instead of up on the bed rails.
It's going to better distribute the weight and help keep the setup from being too top heavy. They do include some instructions here to walk you through the installation process as well as the hardware that you're gonna need to get these mounted in place. One of the really outstanding things about this design is that unlike with your other turnbuckle attachment points that are kind of unsightly tab that's sitting between your truck bed and your cab, these are going to be very inconspicuous. They're going to be virtually undetectable when you're not using them. So, these attachment points slide out and then you just have this portion that's gonna sit basically up beneath your body of your truck.
So, you're really not gonna see it when you don't have these installed. These do have a couple different mounting points, so depending on the width of your camper if you need the wider one, you can use that farther out one. You just slide that back, get those holes lined up and pass your pin through. That's gonna give you that sturdy connection. If you do need a, if your camper's a little bit more narrow, you can slide it back to the further end point there and that's gonna make sure that you have a nice snug fit.
So, very simple to remove when you're not using them and then get them installed when you do need them, and then get your turnbuckles attached there. These are made here in the USA of a very sturdy steel construction. You can see they do have a powder coat finish on them. That's gonna help resist corrosion, which of course can be very beneficial since these are going to be attached underneath your truck to your frame. So of course, salt and corrosion, that sort of thing is pretty common in that area so having that powder coat finish is gonna be important for you. But these do come with a lifetime warranty so if you we're to have any issues with them, you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com. But overall, I think these are gonna be a great way to go especially if you care about the look of your truck. If you're not wanting those unsightly tabs on there, this is gonna be a very inconspicuous way especially when you're not putting your camper in your truck bed, you can take those arms out, and then when you need it, you can put 'em back in and you'll have a nice, sturdy connection. That completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
