The CIPA side mirror # CM01140 is designed to fit 3/4 inch or 1 inch wide square vertical bars and roll cage bars on E-Z-Go and Yamaha golf carts. If your RXV model has 3/4 inch or 1 inch wide vertical bars then the mirror will fit without needing to drill. Otherwise drilling would be required.

If you were willing to cut out a section of your golf cart enclosure to allow the CIPA Side Mirrors part # CM01140 to mount to the rail of the golf cart then this would work just fine for you. I would try holding the mirror up to both locations you mentioned to see which you think provides best visibility.

Will the CIPA Adjustable Side Mirror for Golf Carts Work With 1-1/4 Bar On EZ-GO Freedom RXV
The CIPA Adjustable Side Mirror for Golf Carts part # CM01140 is designed to be used with 3/4" and 1" bar stock. Therefore, it won't be a direct bolt-on fit. However, I would think it would only take a longer set of bolts to accommodate the larger size bar. You may also need to modify/bend the brackets slightly but it does seem feasible. The CIPA Pontoon Boat Mirror part # CM01877 may look a little funny but this would work on a 1-1/4" bar stock. I don't have any other options though...

These are convex mirrors very similar to what you have on a car or truck's side mirror. All vehicle mirrors like side mirrors and rear view mirrors are convex for your safety. The CIPA Adjustable Side Mirror for Golf Carts # CM01140 clamps onto 3/4" or 1" square bars, so as long as your golf cart does not have bars wider than 1" (or more narrow than 3/4") square these mirrors will be the perfect fit. These mirrors also fold up against the golf cart to make parking in tight spaces a breeze without having to worry about damaging the mirrors.
