Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. We're going to be taking a quick look at the Seaflo Deck Plate. This makes it easy to create an access point for any kind of storage area, so that you can do any kind of maintenance on equipment, or have a nice place to just stash some stuff away on your boat. And it creates that easy access point, so you can just open this up, get in there, do whatever you need to do, and then close it back and keep everything contained, keep any water from getting in and anything from getting out as well. So nice-looking as well, the door sits nice and flush with the ring here. This is just going to be a surface-mounted deck plate.It does have a watertight O-ring that goes around that circumference.

It is adhered to this edge, so it's just a nice kind of soft piece of. It's kind of like a firm foam or softer rubber, so it gives a nice watertight seal to the opening here. It's made out of ABS plastic, so it's typically going to be longer-lasting and more durable than your typical plastic. Really low profile as far as what it's going to look like wherever you have this installed. You could use this for all kinds of different things.And as far as the outer dimensions or the size here, from edge-to-edge, that O-ring is about five and five-eighths of an inch in diameter, so five and five-eighths.

The access points, so we can actually fit through here is really about four inches. It's kind of hard to tell. There's a little lip to that opening, so I'd say you probably can't get anything much more than four inches inside there, maybe four and a quarter, but I'd say four inches, right on. As far as the cutout, it's about four and a half inches to the outer edge of where it goes in, to whatever you're mounting it to.Now, it does not come with any mounting hardware, so that is something you will have to pick up on your own. There are six spots that allow you to use countersunk screws to get that installed.

So again, it's going to maintain that nice flush look. It looks like those will have about a quarter of an inch diameter. Maybe more like three-sixteens for that hardware that you need.It is covered by a four-year limited warranty. And that pretty much does it for our look at the SeaFlo Deck Plate.
