Highlights

  • Make Bike Maintenance Less of a Chore: Swivel-head design lets you set your bike at a better angle for cleaning and repairs, so you are not fighting the frame on the floor.
  • Set Up a Stable Workspace Anywhere: Tripod base gives you a steady stand at home or on the go, so you can tune up without the wobble.
  • Dial In the Hold: Macro-adjust jaws plus a micro-adjustment dial help you get a secure grip without over-tightening.
  • Spin and Angle Your Bike: Adjustable clamp rotates and tilts so you can put the drivetrain, brakes, or cockpit where your hands need it.
  • Packs Away When You Are Done: Folds down compactly so it stores easily in a closet, garage corner, or in the back of your vehicle.
  • Pop the Bike Off with One Hand: Quick-release button makes it simple to remove your bike when you are finished.

If you've ever tried to clean a drivetrain while the bike is leaning against a wall, you know how fast it turns into a balancing act. The swivel-head lets you rotate and angle your bike so the chain, cassette, and derailleur are right where you can see them. Video Transcript for Swagman Spindocktor Bike Repair Stand Spec Review

Today we're taking a look at the Swagman SpinDocktor. This is gonna be a bike repair stand with a pretty decent weight capacity. That way, if you need to work on your mountain bikes, your road bikes, and even some of your lighter electric bikes, this could be an option for you. (air whooshing) What really impressed me is (stand clicking) the stability. This is a 48-pound capacity for your bike, but what is very important is if you are wrenching away at rusted parts, maybe you're trying to get some mud off, you're trying to do intricate repairs on your bike, you wanna make sure that your bike's not falling any time. So pushing, (stand clicking) prodding, and really just working away with this repair stand, we can see how these legs sitting so far out really create that stable foundation.

Adjustability is very important, because you may be working on different parts of your bike. So it's nice if you're able to adjust the height to match, as well as wherever you might be working on. For example, if I wanted to go and work on the brakes, this might be a little too low for that. Pull one of these levers, and then you're able to adjust the height of your stand to where you need it. Turning it right back down secures it.

And now this is at a height where I can very easily work away at the rear hub. You can also make other adjustments on the bike, but first let's take this bike off. I like the process of that where you just turn this to undo the failsafe, and then you could just press on this button. (button thumping) And then that fully releases the bike. And we're in the position here where we would just lift the bike up and off of that stand.

And now if I needed to make any other adjustments, there's this wheel back here that I spin. Here I can tilt up and down. I can even spin this around to secure the bike by the seat post. And here's a great example (button clicking) of how that opens up and also (stand clacking) ratchets down and tightens to secure the bike. So whichever position makes the most sense for whatever I'm working on, we can get to it.

Included with the repair stand is this very helpful tool tray. And I love all the different spots here for all the different types of tools. Now, I have a handy Allen key set here, but if I didn't, I have these holes along the side, which I could just drop different sized Allen keys and different sized bits. And we also have a magnetic plate here. So you know how you always have nuts and bolts and small, metallic tools This will catch all of them, keeping them in one spot until you need them. (air whooshing) When you're not using this, maybe you have to pack this up to toss into your motor home or in the garage, let's break this down, starting by loosening the top bracket. And loosen the bolt on the tray to take it off. And then just pull all these levers to loosen all the telescoping poles. And then this comes up. So it folds all nice and flat. Just make sure you don't get your hands stuck. And then I like to put all the levers back into the close position, so that way, it doesn't move around while I move it around. But this is gonna be the compact position. So with this aluminum construction, you have a very lightweight, but also very sturdy, bike repair stand, helpful for when you need to make repairs on the go, in your garage, in your shed, or maybe you store this on your trailer to make maintenance when you're at the campground or on vacation. (air whooshing) This was a look at the Swagman SpinDocktor bike repair stand at etrailer. My name's Evangeline, and I hope this helped you out.
