Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this 1/2" to 3/4" stud extractor for a 1/2" drive ratchet. Now this stud extractor lets you remove any seized or broken studs or bolts, remove stripped, rusted, broken or smooth studs and it is designed to fit stud diameters from 1/2" to 3/4" and you can see the knurled roller right here. This is what will use the cam action to grasp the stud firmly while minimizing damage. So in other words, you have your holes here that you would put the stud through and then you can see that knurled knob here.
When you attach your ratchet to this, as you turn, that will grip that stud or bolt and allow you to remove it. Again, the 1/2" drive shaft right here can be used with the 1/2" drive ratchet and you can see this does come apart. There's your 1/2" drive shaft and there's your knurled roller. So basically you just run that through the top hole, attach the knurled ruler to it and you can see it's ready to operate.I did happen to pull, here's a 1/2" size drive ratchet that will attach right to there and then you just choose that by turning it and that'll grip the stud and be able to remove it. But that should do it for the review on this 1/2" to 3/4" stud extractor for a 1/2" drive ratchet..
