Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount
Ford EdgeFits perfectly on our Lexus CT200h. Only on the old LS400, the side straps have to be fastened to the wheel arch edge, since the upper trunklid gap is to narrow for inserting the strap hooks. Mounting of two bikes is (with some routine) quickly done, and they stay safe even for longer and faster routes. For transporting three (mountain) bikes, though, the design doesn't seem big and robust enough. Nevertheless, the price-benefit-fun ratios are way better than reasonable.
We are very pleased with the quality and ease of use for our like-new purchase. From the online shopping experience with etrailer.com through multiple outings already, this bike carrier more than meets our needs. Thank you!

Swagman Trailhead Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
etrailer has the best pre- and post-sales customer service I've ever seen! I started out not knowing anything about hitch-mounted racks. So I wrote to etrailer telling them about my car and type of hitch I was about to have installed. Samuel wrote back with lots of great information tailored specifically to my car. He even included a photo that looked just like my 2017 white VW GTI with a hitch and rack installed. Okay something of a coincidence. But the rest of the assistance I got from the crew at etrailer was just as prophetic. I went into this a novice and came out knowing lots more about hitches and racks and finding the rack best suited to my situation. I have a small car, a class 1 hitch and a heavy mountain bike. I got exactly what I needed. As to the Swagman rack itself, it works fine. If I had a different situation I would probably buy a platform rack as they are easier to load. There's no reason to buy a bike rack anywhere else.
First off, thanks to Jason T. or "Troop". The exemplary customer service he provided is rare these days. Troop made several calls to the various manufacturers to ascertain which bike rack would afford me the most ground clearance as my new VW Golf sits low to the ground and my old bike rack frequently scraped the ground when I went up even a slight up hill grade. His efforts paid off as he found me the best bike rack for my car, the Swagman Trailhead 2 Bike Carrier. It sits up off the ground just high enough that it doesn't scrape on my driveway. It is also sturdy and holds my bikes securely. And, the delivery was amazingly fast. I had my rack in about 2 days! Thule Hitching Post Pro Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches
The good: I like the way the bikes are held in and the ability to add the upright adapters to the bike frame holders. The straps are quality too. For a jeep with a spare tire, this is the perfect length to clear it. This rack is 5 stars from the bike holders to the base of it. The bad: the 2"receiver adapter and bolt are insufficient. I wish they made this in a solid 2" hitch. The entire setup is held into the receiver by a very short bolt. It only goes about half way into the receiver tube. So your hitch is only "secured" on one side. A hitch pin or bolt should go through the receiver tube completely imo so it can be secured on the other end with a retaining clip or nut. Because this only goes in the one side, the entire weight of the rack plus bikes are held tight to one side of the receiver by the undersized bolt and washer. A few bumps down the road and that bolt loosens. Now instead of distibuting the weight of the rack and bikes on the receiver and post, it's completely up to the bolt to keep you from losing the rack. The bolt threads get damaged too. I took this down a dirt road and nearly lost everything. I had to buy my own bolt with hd fender washers and lock washers to correct this. Thule should've provided this from the start. The current short bolt design where only one side of the receiver secures the rack is unacceptable. This rack is 1 star at best for the connection to the receiver.
Hitch pin broke before I got it. Looks like a poor design for the locking pin, they might want to consider a different design. I got a 3/8 shear pin from Home Depot to replace and it works great. Bike rack is great!

Rhino-Rack MountainTrail Rooftop Bike Carrier - Fork Mount
Love this bike rack! It fits perfectly with my Rhino Rack Cross Bars. I'm very impressed by the lack of wind noise. With the bike mounted on the rack, you can barely hear the wind noise at 60mph. With the sunroof open you can hear wind noise, but as long as the window is closed, you can only slightly hear anything if the radio is off and you are trying to hear it. Amazing! Can't wait to get more use out of it in the future!
I have used a lot of bike racks and this is the one I keep on my 4Runner. It just works. It is the easiest to take on and off, which is important for me because between me, my wife and kids I have 4 bikes that need to be rearranged often. We also use a roof box, kayak racks and a SUP rack so I am always taking things off and on. The front straps loop over the bar and tightens with an allen key, the back is a couple wing nuts. Since there are 2 straps up front the rack is very stable when a bike is on it. I like that it comes with locks and the skewer is super easy to adjust, clamp and unclamp. If it is cold, dark and damp at 6am and I am tired, late for a ride and still waking up this is the rack I go for because it is easy. There are a couple things to be aware of though... You will need to put a drop of oil in the skewer every 6 months or so to keep it opening and closing smoothly. Otherwise is can stick. Sometimes if the skewer is turned just right there will be a bit of whistle because of a hole in the clamping mechanism. If I turn it to a different angle the whistle stops. And after going through the car wash with the rack on my roof a dozen times or so the black paint began to have a bit of a rainbow sheen. Not sure if it is the bike rack or the soap my car wash uses.

Saris SuperClamp EX Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount
At the age of 70, I needed a “friendlier” mounting and bike access rack. A platform rack seemed to be the solution. I had one caveat. My Subaru Forester had a 1and 1/4” receiver (with a non-standard 3/4” length mounting hole). My Volvo had a tuck away 2” receiver. After some research I gravitated toward Thule only to find out they had no solution for my above conundrum. In fact their customer service offered no interest in solving my problem which others also must have had. More research…enter Saris! An American made company with an innovative solution. I quickly received my SuperClamp EX-2 from ETrailer along with excellent customer service support. The ease of constructing the unit for use and the obvious structural integrity was immediately apparent. My wife couldn’t believe how easy it was to use and to stow away on my garage wall after use. Thank you Saris and ETrailer for a wonderful product and experience. I guess American made is still alive and well. I highly recommend this product and the associated companies.
Purchased this bike rack last year and am very pleased with the stability of the rack. The straps and clamps secure the bike well to the rack. Some things that I learned: When attaching the rack onto your hitch, it helps to put a piece of tape on the rack (hitchtite) once you have lined up the holes. This will make it easier to find the exact location of the holes the next time that you want to use the rack. Finding the exact location allows you to smoothly hand tighten the bolt to the end of the hitch. At that point, just use a socket wrench to finish the tightening. When putting the bike on the rack, I loosely secure the clamps to the tires at first. This allows me to rotate the tires to find the right location in the wheel well for the straps to go around the spokes. I next secure the bike with the straps and then fininsh securing the clamps to the tires.

Thule T2 Classic Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" Hitches - Wheel Mount

Great product. We just got a new convertible and I could not use the roof mount or trunk mount. Using the bikes was important. Taking care of the bikes is important too. This bike rack is really the best I have ever had. It is extremely easy to use. I like that it has built in locks. I can use the hard top convertible on the VW Eos if I only have one bike positioned outward. It also works with no bikes installed. Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
Seemingly well-constructed and supported bike rack. It fits my 2018 Toyota Camry SE just fine and I haven't had any issues with sway or even feeling my bike while driving. I've only carried one bike on it and have used it a limited number of times, so I cannot speak on durability and longevity. Although you shouldn't open your trunk while the rack is attached, I have been able to do so with no issue (without the bike attached).
While getting a bike rack for a sports car isn't ideal, I really wanted to transfer my bike with my own car instead of borrowing my friend's pickup truck. After hours of trying to find a bike rack that would be good for my 07 Mustang, I decided to give this one a try and I gotta say, it has been pretty good so far. It fits very well over the factory spoiler. One of my biggest concerns I was worried about when ordering a rack for my Mustang was ruining the paint, but the feet on the legs haven't left one scratch. I have used this to transfer my bike at freeway speeds (up to 80 mph) on car rides that typically last an hour and my bike was perfectly secure throughout each ride. For extra security, I wrapped both bike wheels with a ratchet strap so the wheels and pedals wouldn't shift in transit. So far, I am very pleased with this bike rack for the price and quality. I would highly recommend this if you want a rack that is affordable and durable.

Hollywood Racks Trail Rider Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I was impressed with this bike rack from the minute I unpacked it. The assembly was simple & straight forward. I looked at quite a few bike racks & for the price point this product was hard to beat. It is well designed & the keyhole pins make it easy to remove & fold up when not carrying the bikes. The locking hitch pin & locking frame bars are convenient and fairly secure. I will add my cable lock to make the bikes even a little more tamper proof. So far I’m very happy with this his purchase. Now the test of time!
I looked at a LOT of bike racks, but when I saw the product video for this Hollywood rack and it was holding the bikes rock solid, no loose bouncing anywhere, I decided to try it and I haven't been disappointed yet. It is solid in the mount, it holds the bikes securely and the locking bars are a good deterrent to anyone wanting a quick steal. Swagman Trailhead Bike Rack for 3 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
Draw-tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver Class I - 1-1/4 Swagman Trailhead 3 Bike Rack - Tilting The Draw-tite Sportframe class 1 trailer hitch and Swagman Trailhead 3 bike rack were ordered for a 2017 Honda Fit. The online order and shipping went just as expected. The trailer hitch and bike rack are very heavy duty. I recommend watching the trailer hitch install video before installing, whereas the video is very helpful. The bike rack has triangles that you can rotate to find the best fit for your bicycle's frame. The rubber straps are thick and secure the bicycles when you pull them tight. This bike rack will stay on the vehicle for 6 months each year. The tilt feature and folding arm feature are must haves for a smaller hatchback. I am pleased with this purchase, it appears to be good quality and good value.
My previous bike rack was a hitch mounted Yakima. It was sturdy but not well suited for my low Subaru Impreza. It stuck out too far and hung too low so that I had to inch my way down the driveway or over speed bumps for fear of it bottoming out. A roof rack or a rear window mounted rack was not suitable since I wanted to be able to also carry two kayaks. First, I tried to modify my rack by shortening the part that sticks out of the hitch. I tried to saw off about 6 inches so it wouldn't stick out so far but the steel was much too hard. I ended up ruining several metal-cutting blades on my power saw before I gave up. I looked for other rack options. There weren't many out there. But eventually, I found something that met my needs. I purchased the "Swagman Trailhead 3 Bike Fold Down Bicycle Hitch Rack" in 2013 from eTrailer.com. The part that enters the hitch curves up to increase clearance from the ground. It is sturdy and sticks out far enough so I can still open my trunk hatch without having to lower the main vertical bar on the hitch (though I could if I wanted to). It isn't often I am really excited about a piece of gear but this hitch rack has made me worry-free when I transport my bicycle(s) via car. The only thing I don't like is that it is advertised as being a 3 bike carrier but it only fits 2 hybrid bikes. Maybe it will fit 3 skinny racing bikes but for the average rider, don't expect to fit on more than 2. But my experience is that is the case for all bicycle racks.

Swagman Chinook Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Truly grooving on my wife's new Swagman Chinook bike rack. She wanted to be able to transport her nice road bike easily without throwing it in the back of her car, and since a roof rack is out of the question, this Swagman model fit the bill perfectly. It arrived quickly on the anticipated date. Kudos to etrailer.com for the email updates to keep me informed of my purchase. Within one hour, it was installed on my wife's 2014 Mazda3 hatchback. The Swagman is heavy and solid, which is reassuring as it makes me feel confident that it will keep the bikes secure. It also makes me feel like I got my money's worth. A ratchet wrench and Phillip's head screwdriver were the only tools required for the easy install. I did my research before purchasing the Chinook model as I was also eyeballing a very similar Thule rack that was slightly more expensive. I spoke with an etrailer.com expert who gave me the lowdown on both models. Ultimately, the Swagman won out because it has a smaller 'footprint' while extended or folded up ... and also can tilt away from the car for easy access to the hatchback area. Very convenient! FYI: Mazda doesn't make a trailer hitch for the Mazda3 as it's a small car with a small engine and has no business towing anything. Thankfully, the Curt company makes an aftermarket frame and trailer hitch that fits the Mazda3 hatchback perfectly with no drilling. Stupidly, I purchased it from another online company thinking I was getting a good deal. Turns out etrailer.com had it for less with FREE shipping. Oh well ... live and learn. Now I know that etrailer.com is one-stop shopping for bike racks AND trailer hitches. (Full disclosure: I had the garage down the street install the frame as it's easier with a lift) Only snafu: the shipment contained an extra set of keys that I assumed was for the hitch bolt lock (there was also a set of keys on the bolt itself). I spent 15 minutes using those keys trying to figure out how to remove the lock from the bolt to install it on the hitch. The keys just wouldn't turn in the lock. I called etrailer.com and Kevin told me to try the other set of keys ... and they worked. So an extra set of keys came with it that did absolutely nothing ... weird! Obviously, I can't speak to the longevity and durability of the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Platform Rack as I just installed it. What I can speak to is the sturdiness of it, the ease of the installation and my complete satisfaction with the good folks at etrailer.com.
I ordered the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Platform Rack on line from etrailer and so far have been very satisfied. The bike rack was delivered in less than a week. Unpacking the rack and assembly was fairly straightforward. I have read some reviews that complained the assembly instructions were a bit vague. I didn't have a problem but can see where others without a mechanical background get confused. The rack is very sturdy, but there is some side to side play in the tilt mechanism. I'm not sure this can be avoided with a rack that folds down. Installing the Curt trunk stabilizing strap takes most of the sway out of the rack. Installation is fairly easy and quick. It takes me 6 - 7 minutes to install the back on my hitch, and to install the bike and be ready to drive away. That seems reasonable to me. So far I've only loaded 1 bike. I've included pictures of my installation on a 2014 Mercedes Benz E350 sedan. Clearance between the bikes, the rack and the car are good. With the bike loaded in the inside, most forward position, I have 6" clearance between the pedal and the bumper. With the bike removed, the center support folded flat and the rack folded up in the storage position, I have 4" clearance between the closest part of the bike rack (the fold down hinge assembly) and the back bumper of the car. I am able to open the trunk of the car without removing the bikes or using the tilt feature, but I do have to remove the stabilizing strap first. Overall, I'm very pleased with the bike rack and think it will serve me much better than my old strap on rack. Since the weather has been cool since getting the bike carrier, I haven't taken any long trips to give it a real workout.

Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount - Tilting
I installed this rack onto a Curt trailer hitch which is mounted onto a 2017 Honda Fit. I have been using it intermittently for several months, probably about 5 times with one bike and twice with two bikes. I give some pros and cons below and then elaborate. Pros: easy to assemble, easy to mount and dismount bikes, easy to lock and unlock, how to put the rack into different positions is intuitive Cons: inconvenient to put the rack into different positions, inconvenient to mount the rack onto the hitch, rack protrudes about 15 inches from bumper when in flipped up position (seems very vulnerable to someone backing into it in a parking lot, very inelegant looking I say the repositioning is intuitive because there is really only one way you could possibly place the pins for each position. But removing and replacing two pins is much less convenient than turning a knob or a lever, like some racks do. Also many racks fold and flip in such a way as to look very unobtrusive when in non-use mode. This one looks like kind of a monstrosity. That does not really bother me but it might bother some owners. The part that does bother me is how far it protrudes from the car. I back into parking spaces whenever possible to avoid someone bumping into the rack and damaging it (which happened to a friend). My number one suggestion for Curt is related to mounting the rack onto the hitch. Make it easier to tell when the holes are lined up so that the bolt/pin will fit and thread. As it is now, if you insert the rack as far as it can go it is way too far in. Ideally, it would be exactly lined up. Failing that, maybe some kind of click or other feedback to know at least that you are in the neighborhood. It would also be great to have an attaching device that is easier to fasten and unfasten than is the bolt/pin. Tip for mounting the rack onto the hitch: I assumed that it would be awkward to hold, what is it 46 pounds?, while trying to line up the rack probe with the receiver. If you have a garage with exposed collar ties, my solution could work well for you. I looped a cargo strap over a collar tie. Then I hooked both hooks of a bungie onto that loop. The idea is that you hook one of the bike frame holders of the rack onto the bungie, suspending the rack a few inches off the garage floor. This takes most of the weight of the rack so that you can just pull up or down and forward until you line up with the receiver. Tip for mounting bikes. Don't put the little screw into the post that prevents you from completely removing the bike frame holders. Remove both holders. Position the first bike, slide the holder into place, position the second bike, slide the holder into place. I found this makes it much easier, because you avoid parts of the bike hitting the holder as you are trying to get the wheels into place. The trick is that if you are mounting only one bike, don't forget to put the second holder back on - or maybe just stick it inside the car right away.
I had a 1 1/4" hitch installed on my 2016 toyota camry (the only size offered on the camry). I was very pleased with the ride. I expected to hear alot of noise like experienced when towing a trailer, but I heard almost nothing accept when going over speed bumps. I had to extend the tire supports to their widest position because having mountain bikes with a step through angled bar, they were more secure the closer i could get the upper and lower support arms to the seat post. The bikes were mounted in opposite directions and only stuck out maybe 6 inches or so. One locking barrel on the lower support arm was malfunctioning and gave me trouble but i called etrailer and they sent a replacement as soon as they were in stock. It comes with a anti rattle hitch pin but I highly recommend purchasing an anti rattle hitch pin with a lock on the end instead of just a clip for more security when unattended. After a few times mounting the bikes and figuring out the best way they should be positioned (pedals positions, direction of bike, and that my wife's smaller bike fit better going on first with my larger bike on the outside) I can mount the rack and bikes and be ready to go in just 5 minutes. (70 pounds on a torque wrench recommended for the hitch pin) I am overall pleased with my purchase i would recommend this product.
Yakima FrontLoader Roof Bike Rack Review - 2014 Toyota Yaris
Today on our 2014 Toyota Yaris, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Front Loader. A wheel mount roof bike rack with part number Y02103. With our Yakima Q Towers Roof Rack System already installed on the Yaris, we'll begin out test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our cross bars. Here at the front we'll want the two outside arms of our clamp to be in front of our cross bar and the single middle arm to be behind it. We'll then tighten the black T handle to secure the front clamp to our rack. With our front secure we'll now move to the rear. Here we're going to loosen the small black T handle, remove the T bolt from the slot, bring the clamp around our bar, reinsert the T bolt and tighten it down with that same black T handle. With that T handle tight, our rack's secured to our vehicle.
Yakima ForkLift Roof Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2014 Toyota Yaris
Today on our 2014 Toyota Auris, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Forklift. A fork mount roof bike rack with part number Y02098. With our Yakima Q Towers roof rack system already installed on the Auris, we're going to begin our test fit by placing the bike rack directly onto the cross bars. At the front, we're going to remove our skewar, slide back the black plastic cover and loosen the T-handle. This will allow us to remove the T-bolt from the slide. Bring the clamp around the under side of the bar. We'll then reinsert our T-bolt and tighten that black T-handle back down. With the front secure, we'll slide our black plastic cover forward and replace our skewar. We can then move to the rear.
Thule Sprint Fork Mount Bike Rack Review - 2014 Toyota Yaris
Today on our 2014 Toyota Yaris, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Sprint. A fork mount roof bike rack with part number TH528. With our Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System already installed on our Yaris, we'll begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front we'll bring the black rubber coated metal strap around the underside of our load bar, fit it under the head of our carrier, and tighten the small black lever on the backside to secure it. With this secure, we'll now move to the rear. Again, we're going to bring the black rubber coated metal strap around the underside, fit it into the foot of the carrier, and tighten it down with the small black lever located on the front. With both of these tied, our rack is secured to our vehicle. It's now time to load up our bike.
Swagman Fork Down Roof Bike Rack Review - 2014 Toyota Yaris
Today on our 2014 Toyota Yaris, were going to be test fitting the Swagman Fork Down, a fork mount roof bike rack with part number S64710. With our Thule rapid traverse roof rack system already installed on the Yaris, well begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front, were going to bring two of the U-bolts around the underside of our load bar, fit them up through the head of our carrier, and secure them place with two wing nuts on each one. Well then tighten down all four wing nuts and secure the front of our rack to our bar. Well now move to the rear. Here well bring the U-bolt through the rack, being sure that the threaded portion comes out on both sides of the load bar.Well then put on the black metal plate and hold it in place with two of the wing nuts.
Kuat TRIO Roof Bike Rack Review - 2014 Toyota Yaris
Today on our 2014 Toyota Yaris, we're going to be test fitting the Kuat Trio, a fork-mount roof bike rack, with part number RU01. With our Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System already installed on the Yaris, we're going to begin our test fit by placing the bike rack directly on to our load bars. Here at the front we'll bring the two black rubber coated u-bolts around the underside of our load bar, fit them through the head of the carrier, and thread two cylinder nuts onto each u-bolt. We'll then take the supplied Allen tool and tighten all four of these down. With the front secure, we'll move to the rear. We'll loosen up both wing nuts and remove one completely. We'll bring the lower portion of our clamp around the underside of our load bar, reinsert the bolt through it, and attach our wing nut.
Yakima ForkLift Roof Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2012 Toyota Yaris
Today on our 2012 Toyota Yaris, we'll be test fitting the Yakima Forklift roof-mounted bike carrier, part number Y02098. With the Yakima roof rack system assembled onto our vehicle, we'll begin by placing our bike carrier directly onto our crossbars. For easier installation, I already removed the skewer, so all we have to do is fit the front clamp around our front crossbar. We'll drop the T bolt through the clamp and tighten it. Then we'll slide the black bracket around the T bolt, and install our skewer, which will hold it all together. With that secured, we'll move to the rear of the carrier, where we'll bring the rear clamp around our rear bar, drop our T bolt into the clamp, making sure our T bolt is through the clamp, and then we'll tighten the bolt.
Thule Domestique Roof Bike Rack Review - 2012 Toyota Yaris
Today on our 2012 Toyota Yaris we will be test fitting the Tule Domestique Fork Mounted Bike Carrier; part number TH513. With a Tule Aeroblade Roof Rack system assembled on to our vehicle, we will begin the test fit by placing our carrier directly on to our load bars. We'll move back to the front making sure that our bolts are through our clamp, and then we will tighten using an Allen key. Once we have that tightened secured we will move to the rear, feed the bolt through our clamp, and tighten the clamp down using an Allen key. We will go ahead and reinstall our skewer at the front part of our carrier leaving it open for when we are ready to load our bike. We will go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap, grab our bike, place it onto the wheel tray and drop our front forks down into our skewer.
Swagman Fork Down Roof Bike Rack Review - 2012 Toyota Yaris
Today on our 2012 Toyota Yaris we will be test fitting the Fork Style Roof Mounted Bike Carrier from Swagman; part number S64710. With a Tule Aeroblade Roof Rack system assembled on to our vehicle, we will begin our test fit by placing our carrier directly on to our load bars. Once we have it situated we'll take the U-bolts at the front of the carrier, feed them underneath the load bar through the flat platform, and tighten with wing nuts. We will do this on both sides at the front part of the carrier. Then we'll move to the rear, feeding the U-bolt through the top of the carrier and over our load bar. Then we will take our black bracket, put our U-bolts through, and tighten with wing nuts.

With a Tule Aeroblade Roof Rack system mounted on to our vehicle, we will begin our test fit by placing our carrier directly on to our load bars. We will bring the rubber coated steel straps around our front load bar, remove the cover on the front, and feed it into the holders. We'll then use an Allen key to tighten the bolt, which will tighten our straps. Once we have those tight, we can go ahead and reinstall our cover. Then we will move to the rear and bring our rear clamp around our rear load bar, feed the bolts through, and tighten with an Allen key.

Today on our 2012 Toyota Yaris we're going to do a test fit of the Rhode Gear Highway 2 bike carrier part number RG8015200. This bike carrier will fit 2" and 1-1/4" hitches. We've already remove the 2-inch adaptor so that we can install it our 1-1/4" hitch. All right, we'll begin by installing the bike rack under the car inserting the shank of the bike rack into the 1-1/4" receiver tube on our hitch. We'll line up the hitch grim holes and then install our anti-rattle bolt, tighten it down and our safety clip. All right, with the anti-rattle bolt tighten down our safety clip install.

Today on our 2012 Toyota Yaris, were going to do a test fit of the Thule Double Track Platform Style Bike Carrier, part number TH990XT. This bike carrier is equipped to install on a 2-inch or 1-1/4-inch hitch. With our bike rack already pre-assembled, we removed the 2-inch sleeve so that we can install it on our 1-1/4-inch hitch. Well begin by installing the shank of the bike rack into the 1-1/4-inch hitch on the vehicle lining up the hitch pin hole. Then we can install our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down and securing it with our safety clip. This is what our bike rack will look like when its in its stored position installed on the vehicle.
