Today on our 2014 Toyota Prius we're going to be doing a test fit of the Surco cargo carrier. This is going to be your 20 by 48" model, steel constructed, with a 300 pound weight capacity. It will have an 1-1/4" shank for your class one and two hitches, and it will be part number 52017. Just remember with this cargo carrier that it does not come with your hitch pin and clip and it will be sold separately. You can obtain one, part number PC2, on our website if you so choose. Let's go ahead and get it fitted onto our class one receiver that we have here today. Insert your shank into your receiver and line up your pinholes.

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2007 Toyota Prius

Today on our 2007 Toyota Prius, we will be test fitting the Curt 20x48 cargo carrier for both 1-1/4 and 2 inch hitches, part number C18145. Now with our vehicle equipped with the 1-1/4 inch hitch, we removed the included adapter and we are ready to fit it to the vehicle. We will simply slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hold and install the anti-rattle bolt. With the anti-rattle bold tight, our cargo carrier is secured to the vehicle. We will now go ahead and give you a few measurements. From the closest point of the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle, is 4 inches.
