Most Popular CURT for 2018 Toyota Highlander

I seldom take the time to write a review but I felt compelled to share my excellent overall experience with etrailer.com. I ordered the C13200 trailer hitch receiver, 2" ball, 2" ball mount receiver, pin/clip, and C56217 wiring harness for my 2017 Toyota Highlander XLE. All arrived in no time and in excellent condition. The installation videos and PDF documents are outstanding. I installed the hitch receiver in roughly 45 minutes - includes time to convince brother in-law to come over to help hoist it into place. Wiring harness installation was a breeze, roughly 20 minutes (again, great instructional videos). I could not be happier with the finished product. Thanks etrailer.com for making this a trouble free installation. If you are considering adding a hitch, etc. go no further, you are at the right place...order away. Its very easy to install and you will save a trailer load of cash!!!

The hitch went on exactly as described in your YouTube video. I got it on in about 45 minutes without putting the Highlander on jackstands. I did it alone and found a scissor jack the perfect means to elevate and support the passenger's side while I attached the driver's side. It seems to go better by attaching one bolt on the driver's side then one on the other side. By the way, your video explains how the washers should go on. The written instructions accompanying the hitch did not. The wiring package did not follow the video OR the written instructions. Both state that the package contains double stick tape that should be used to connect the black box. There was no tape in the package or attached to the black box. I wedged the black box in an open in the body. I think it will be secure and the wire protected from rubbing. Otherwise, i will have to open the compartments up again and apply adhesive of my own. Your video suggested that the wires can be lead from the driver's side connectors to the equipment tray in the back. It can, but the wires are pinched between the plastic body part. Over time, I suspect wire sheath would rub away and ground the connection. I ground away a very small section of the equpment tray. It created enough space to relieve the pinching. By the way, I'm 66. I'm sure kids could install the hitch even faster than I did.

Yes Laura its a good thing. But I do dismount it when not in use lest I smash someones bumper when backing into a parking space. .

We sold our small motor home and purchased a small travel trailer. This hitch provided a perfect solution to how to use our bike rack while towing the trailer. It even allows room for the pickup tailgate to be lowered without removing the bikes from the rack. The hitch is very hefty with a high weight limit - plenty for the GVW of the trailer (7,000#) plus 125# of rack and bikes.

I purchased this Curt Ball mount 10-1/4" because I also bought ball hitch mounted mud flaps and my existing hitch was too short.This hitch was maybe a little too long, but it should work.I hope this combination will protect my horse trailer from my nasty gravel roads!

With good information from the website it was easy to order a Curt 2" Trailer Hitch, the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit w/ 4-Pole Connector and Circuit Tester - 119178KIT, Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches (3/4" Rise, 2" Drop - 10-1/4" Long - 7,500 lbs - D-4), Curt Pin and Clip Hitch Receiver - C21500, Rubber Tube Cover for 2" Trailer Hitch Receivers - I-728,Review, and 2" hitch ball 40038. Parts were delivered earlier than the initial estimate. Self installation (on a sloped drive way) took just under 2 hour. The fit of parts was very good, instructions and on-line video's were very helpful. My Kia did not have the wire plug in option, but the splice connections in the wire kit were easy to install. Most of the parts are hidden from view when the ball mount is not used.

Excellent product! With the three different ball sizes, this tri-ball mount gives you a lot of flexibility. Gone are the days of having several different ball mounts to fit different tongues. High quality construction makes this an excellent investment.

This item should solve the problem I have had with a stainless 3-way ball when I tried to reverse the position on the ball mount. The threads galled between the hex nut and hitch ball.

I cannot use this ball mount because the shaft is too short that goes into hitch receiver on my one ton Dodge truck. It does not allow enough room between truck back bumper and ball to allow any trailer tongue to be put on ball.

Retail type stores only carry mainstream items so when I needed a special length ball mount for my 2011 Traverse I found the size and quality with Curt Products .
