Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes - Proportional
Absolutely great product and worth the time and effort to install. Once installed and "adjusted correctly" this unit is flawless. I installed it with everything else from ETrailer in 3 days, taking my time and I have a very clean installation. Once installed the tech support guided my "sensitivity" level for the perfect application. Also their TECH support was on it both times I called. The other was in ref to a brake light switch sold by etrailer but was not needed for this and they provided the intel off the top of his head. Absolutely recommend this product and both DUO and Etrailer as companies.
great kit for installing a supplemental braking system in my 2019 jeep wrangler. It takes several hours to install, but if you follow the instructions and watch the video, it's a pretty straight forward install. Just think it through and plan where you'll route the wiring and hoses. The hardest part was being flexable enough to mount the hardware to the firewall behind the brake pedal, but that's not a fault of the system.

Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles
I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport Unlimited 4 door, after I installed the Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - HM56200, I found I had to install the Road-Master Brake Lite Relay for Towed Vehicles - RM-88400 , I'm using a supplemental brake system, when the brake is depressed with ignition off, the brake lights come on and cancel out any directional signal on my toad, installing the relay solved this problem. I watched the video and this was helpful. Installation took me a few hours, climbing under the dash was not an easy chore for me, I'm not as young as I want to be, had to purchase 16 gauge Red wire to run to Fuse box under the hood, also I recommend having extra wire ties to do this. I recommend both products, easy to install and good quality.
I use the Blue Ox Patriot II supplemental braking system in my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited; so, it override the brake lights within the Jeep when the RV tail lighting and Patriot are in operation. This simple relay does the trick. The installation video was perfect for the installation. The only problem I ran into was crimping that the Jeep's braking signal wiring was 18 gauge, which was kind of loose in the 16 gauge (blue) butt connector. Used my own 18 gauge (red) connector instead. No problems.

Roadmaster InvisiBrake Flat Tow Brake System - Preset
I do virtually all my own maintenance on all 7 of my vehicles. This installation is not conceptually difficult, but working under the dash of a Jeep Wrangler is literally painful. The hardest part is figuring out where to mount the controller and route the brake cable. My Jeep is not the same as the video and I needed to install it a little differently. Take your time here and get it right the first time. I made several modifications to the standard installation - including hooking all the signals (including the Monitor) from my truck camper to my towed Jeep through a 7-Pin RV connector and hooking the power to the Invisibrake through a switch to the battery so I don't have to run my Parking Lights to power the controller. I had a couple questions that the folks at Roadmaster answered cheerfully and professionally. BTW Etrailer is a pleasure to do business with.

Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Air Brakes - Proportional
SM99243 Review: I have a 2017 Jeep Wrangler and needed a way to hook it up to my 1991 Hawkins Diesel Pusher Motorhome. The etrailer staff was very helpful in helping me purchase the correct system. I purchased this system because it seemed to make the most sense. Once installed it is seamless. Nothing in the way, works every time. The indication LED is handy if you have a back-up camera on your MH. I use the RM-521448-5 Base Plate and the RM-676 Nighthawk Tow Bar. 5 Stars!
Very nice unit, very easy install on a 2017 Jeep wrangler Rubicon Recon and and Great Support eTrailer !! Super Fast Shipping !!!

Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Flat Tow Brake System - Proportional
I bought a complete flat tow parts fir a jeep wrangler. I decided I could install myself. Your installation videos made it nearly a piece of cake. From a quote I got from a RV service business, I saved several thousand dollars installing myself. etrailer is the place to for your RV needs!
Very touchy on where it is sitting on the floor in front of the seat. Must be lined up almost perfectly. Heavy and clumsy to get in and out and connected to brake pedal. Need to add an on/off switch to the power line on the controller otherwise it is transmitting a signal on Jeep brands all the time that interferes with the remote key lock. Quite disappointed with hit and miss braking operation while in use and sending braking signal to driver when it is not braking.

Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Flat Tow Brake System - Proportional
Brake controller works great. If you are installing yourself(wiring it to vehicle) it takes some time. If you have never done electrical work on your vehicle I would suggest paying someone to install. Installed on our 2017 Jeep Wrangler. Tight install when placing it between the seat and brake pedal. Once installed and setup works great. Can’t really tell it is working behind our 36’ motorhome, but do not need to press brake pedal down any harder on motorhome to stop. Wish it had a manual button for applying just the Jeep brakes so I can verify it works when moving slowly, like my trailer used to be.
No prblems .I got what I wanted at a fair price

Brake Buddy Classic 3 Portable Flat Tow Brake System - Preset
I purchased this BB Classic 3 in October 2020 after my old BB Classic that I purchased in 2008 failed to hold pressure for the piston. I bought this for my 2017 Jeep Wrangler but due to (1) the depth and unevenness of the driver's floor board, (2) the seat adjustment bar prevents BB Classic 3 from pushing against the seat and (3) the adjustable legs are not long enough to reach the seat and brake pedal properly, the BB Classic 3 fails the auto start test every time due to not being able to level. I talked to Hopkins MFG techs several times trying to resolve the issue (wiring checks, power cord checks, etc.) but to no avail. This situation makes the BB Classic 3 dangerous to have in service because not being level it will think something is wrong and keeps the brake applied (piston will not retract after applying the brake). So after talking to other Jeep Wrangler owners I determined that a platform was needed for the floor board on which the BB Classic 3 could rest. I constructed a platform that was approximately 3" off the floor board and rested on the floor board under the seat and on risers toward the brake pedal. This platform is level on the floor board both length-wise and width-wise. After placing the BB Classic 3 on the platform with clevis and power cord installed and legs in the lowest position, I tested the auto start and had 8 successful tests in a row!!! Also the brake away test was successful too. I still need to make a short drive test while in tow behind the motorhome. Hopkins really needs to advise customers that the Classic 3 will not work properly as is on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler due to the configuration of the driver's side floor board.
Everything I would expect! Great service, quick delivery, and awesome pricing!

Brake Buddy Stealth Supplemental Braking System - Proportional
Install was fairly easy. I did call support with a couple questions and they were very helpful.
The Brake Buddy has been working great. I just wish they had made the plug a more standard mount. It doesn't fit the standard mount point on my Roadmaster baseplate. I had to make a little bracket to adapt it.

Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Braking System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes - Wireless Monitor - Proportional
I've used this setup for a year towing a 2023 Jeep Wrangler . I 100% recommend it for anyone else. Under normal conditions it is very easy. Under stressful conditions (bad weather, uneven terrain, need to connect/disconnect quickly) it is a life saver. I am 63 and I can connect/disconnect this in 5 minutes.

RoadMaster Stop Light Switch Kit
This product was exactly what I needed. I wanted an indicator light that told me when the brake pedal moved on my towed vehicle, not when my brake system was activated. This part fit perfectly on my 2014 Jeep Wrangler sport. Others with newer wranglers reported having to notch bracket but there was no need for that on a 2014. I wired mine a little differently than the instructions show and there was no need to tap into the wiring on my Jeep. My indicator light recieved constant power from my coach, when the brake is pushed it completes the circuit with a ground from the coach and the light comes on. I feel confident that if there is a problem and my brakes are activated when they shouldn’t be I will be aware of this before it causes damage to the toad brakes. Great product
There was a challenge presented when installing the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch (Kit #751452) on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sport Unlimited. The kit's Black C Bracket was not able to swing around fully to allow the kit's gray stop switch to be in line with the brake pedal. This was due to blockage caused by existing jeep's stop switch gray mounting bracket. As a result, I had to cut a notch using a Dremel and a grinding bit. The area where I had the interference from the jeep's bracket and the notch to allow proper installation is indicated in the attached photo. It is imperative that the kit's stop light switch when mounted correctly is fully depressed. If not, 12 volts will be sent to the Evenbrake's transmitter which will result in an alarm and failure to use the Evenbrake system. Also in reference to the Roadmaster installation instructions, there is no removable lower plastic cover. Installation requires twisting ones body under the dashboard with limited use of my left arm (I am right handed) to use tools. I ordered the stop switch from etrailer.com. I am using a Roadmaster Evenbrake system. I do want to state a clarification concerning the battery based on what I read in etrailer's and other forums. You do not have to disconnect the jeep battery on the 2015 Wrangler Sport Unlimited Model. Jeep made a change in the second edition of the 2014 operators manual which is reflected in the 2015 manual. The earlier 2014 edition did state the disconnecting of the battery before towing. I had informed the Roadmaster tech department of this change. The 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sport Unlimited steering column does not lock. You do not have to leave the key in ignition. You can remove it when ready to tow. My 2015 jeep has the power convenience group. The vehicle has two 12 volt convenience outlets. One is only powered on when the ignition switch is on. The other outlet is connected directly to the battery via a fuse. It is on all the time. This is the outlet I use for the Evenbrake. Now, Jeep does state not to plug in devices that use more than 13 amps or 160 watts. Roadmaster as per their installation manual indicates that the maximum draw of the Evenbrake is 10.8 amps. I reviewed all the above to the Roadmaster tech department and they said I should not have a problem using the Jeep's always on 12 volt outlet. We recently went on a camping trip on Columbus Day weekend to a campground 120 miles from the house and no power problems were encountered with the Evenbrake system. One other clarification is that the Jeep's brake lights are tied into the power convenience/electronics system. The brake lights will operate for a short period of time after the ignition is turned off and/or you open the jeep's door. Use of the brake lights will time out. This is the primary reason why I chose the stop light switch bracket kit. The Roadmaster Evenbrake transmitter and the hot leg to the kit's stop light switch are fed from a dedicated 10 amp fuse protected line from the battery. This way, I avoided drilling a hole into the weather resistant under the hood fuse box plus negating the need to make rube goldberg connections to existing fuses.

Roadmaster BrakeMaster for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes - Proportional
Kit fits great! Hooked up a 2004 Workhorse to a 2002 Jeep Liberty. It might be preferable to be handy with some advanced mechanical skills and tools to install this efficiently. Directions are great but you do need to figure out your own locations for certain items like the break-away reservoir, compressor, routing lines and wires out of harms way, but not bad at all. Parts are great, everything there but added a couple different wiring splices of my own.
Your customer service leaves nothing lacking, and this follow-up from you is so out of character for the many web sites I have purchased from over the years. I am impressed by you and your company. I bought the tow bar and the brake system for my Equinox, and installed them my self (I am 70 years old) - and with your provided instructions and video, I had no problems (even though I was surprised by the number of parts and detail that went into the assemblies). Both systems have worked very well, with no problems. I am completely satisfied with them, and have told my friends and traveling acquaintances about your company. Thanks for your follow-up!

Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Air Brakes - Wireless Monitoring - Proportional
Overall a great system, there are some intricacies to the install as it pertains to old instructions with LED light in the TOAD vs. CoachLink Wireless and also the 3 wire reed switch vs. the newer 2 wire one. But using the provided written instructions along with YouTube videos you can figure it out. My other challenge was my Jeep is a 392 model and thus the battery and fuse box are in swapped locations, as well as a different VAC line layout, but again you can figure it out…just takes some time to study and trace the routing. My only real complaint was ordering, I was quoted the wrong system for my RV (Stay and Play) vs. AF1 since I DO have air brakes. etrailer was helpful in getting the return process but wants to charge me the shipping and possibly restock fee, I am working with them on this and hope to get a good resolution.
The Air Force One Braking system just arrived. I opened the box and looked it all over. No damage to anything thanks to good packing. A friend of mine has this same braking system and he loves it. Can't give a product review because it's not installed yet but I can honestly say Dianna A in customer service helped me get my order correct.

Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit
etrailer’s installation video was very helpful. However, the mounting bracket holes on either end seem to be the same size (the video and instructions state that the switch fits into only one end but for me it fit into both). Consequently, it is not clear which side of the bracket to use for the switch vs the vehicle stud. One other installation hint, perhaps unique to the Wrangler Rubicon or Wranglers with upgraded audio/Uconnect, there is an electronic module (3”x4”), mounted to the dash framework behind the lower dash panel, that must be dismounted in order to allow access to the bracket mounting location (see photo).
Install was tight in the Wrangler. I would recommend removing the driver seat, it at least removing the seat bolts and moving it rearward to have room to work.

12 Volt outlet in 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is only active when ignition is on. Called ETrailer, very helpful with suggestion of 20 amp cigarette lighter adaptor. Should have it ready to go soon.
Easy set up.it will be easy to put in and take out. Seems to apply plenty of pressure to the brake pedal. Haven’t had time to road test yet.

I this is a replacement for my new 2023 Jeep Rubicon. I am impressed with the brake notification unit for my motor coach. Nice touch!
Love the Air Force One. After professional installation, it's simple to and quick hook up the toad. The bluetooth display in the rig cockpit clearly indicates when toad's brakes are engaged. In the year since it was installed, we've used it over 10,000 miles with no problems.

Best 2017 Jeep Wrangler Flat Tow Set Up Options SM99251
Shane: Hi, I'm Shane with etrailer.com. Today I'm going to be go over the best flat tow setup for your 2017 Jeep Wrangler. Flat towing your vehicle behind your motor home is going to make life a lot easier for you when you get to a campsite because you can leave your motor home set up, because you're going to have another vehicle to get you out and about. There's going to be five main components required for flat towing any vehicle. There's going to be a six and seventh component, that I'm going to recommend. Let's go over those components now. Our first component is going to be our baseplate.
SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Braking System Installation - 2017 Jeep Wrangler
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Jeep Wrangler we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System. Part number SM99251. Now our braking system is going to apply our brakes on our Jeep in proportion when we're flat towing it behind our RV. This box here is going to be our control box. It's not going to take up much room in our vehicle, and that's really all we're going to see. We do have an on and off switch and that's all we're going to have to do when we get ready to flat tow our vehicle.
Mount: Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Jeep Wrangler, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster brake light relay kit for towed vehicles, part number RM-88400.Now I'd like to show you why we're going to need that brake light relay. We have a vehicle with a seven way on the back hooked up to our Jeep here. We got our lights on and our left turn signal going. Now but in the case that there's a supplemental braking system in our Jeep when it's being flat towed and we hit the brakes on our motor home, which will activate the brakes inside our Jeep. Our brakes are actually going to override the turn signal and it's going to go solid. The brake light relay is going to prevent our Jeep's brake signal from overriding the turn signal that comes on from our RV.
