Best 2013 Ford Edge Trailer Wirings

simple to install, included all the necessary items to mount to the hitch I also purchased from here.

I looked at so many options before deciding on the B&W hitch, but I have no regrets buying it. There is nothing that my car is suitable for towing that this thing can’t accommodate. I even use it on the front hitch of my mower to move trailers around the yard! Adjusts very easily and stows nicely (though on my Ford Edge it rides lower than I like when stowed).

My Ford Edge with the tow package had a 4 pole harness and my boat trailer had a 5 pole harness with the extra wire for locking out the brakes when reversing. This adapter was easy to install and works like a charm. No more need to use a lock out key when reversing the trailer.

Perfect . My new Subaru hitch has a flat plate to which the dealership attaché the 4-flat. I used “2 L-brackets” to accommodate the 90 degree bend of the adapter bracket.

I recently had a receiver hitch installed on my 89 Silverado and the wiring was merely zip tied to the safety chain connection. Well that didn't sit well with me. I wanted a more permanent wiring connection point. So I purchased your 4 flat to 4 flat and 7 way plug and installed it. So far so good. The installation turned out perfect and it looks good. The test lights are a great thing as well. I couldn't be happier.

Product is perfect. It works as advertised. I am able to hook up my motorcycle cargo trailer and motorcycle camper, if I need to pull them behind my 2013 Ford Edge.

Great way to extend a 4 pole plug! Easy to install.

Again very easy to install. Took all of about 10 minutes to get it hooked up and working.

I added it to my trailer, so when in camp I could have the running lights on without the truck.

It works, it doesn’t have indicator lights so it doesn’t make my Rivian think I’m towing unless I actually am. The cap is difficult to remove as it’s recessed into the unit, overall it does the job.

Installed and tested and seems to work perfectly. To be perfectly honest, my vehicle was NOT on the list of those that this part will fit. But I saw on another post elsewhere that someone had had success with this and I thought it was worth the gamble. I just installed this myself in about 20 minutes, thanks to a YouTube video. The dealer is quoting 70 bucks for this part plus installation which I heard can be as much as $200 more. I just did it myself in 20 minutes for $18. Thank you so much. Check out my pics.

Packaged very well and delivered when expected. No defects noted with this products condition. I have not mounted the connector on the truck yet or operationally tested it but there's nothing to lead me to believe that it wouldn't perform as advertised.

My electrical connection to my trailor works very well with this connector.

My '92 GMC Sierra had a 6-pin trailer harness connector and I'm going to be pulling a pop-up camper in a few weeks that has a 7-pin connector. I originally ordered a 47435 6-Pole to 7-Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter. After thinking about it for a day I changed my mind and ordered a HM48470 Hopkins Endurance Multi-tow 7-way, 5 & 4-wire Flat Connector to mount in the bumper and a HM47570 Hopkins Endurance Multi-tow Connect Adapter - 7-way To 6-way, 5-way and 4-way. The HM48470 will allow me to pull the pop-up as well as giving me the 4-wire flat connector that I need for my boat trailer. I bought the HM47570 adapter just to cover all the trailer wiring needs I might run into. I really like the fact that the 47570 adapter has the quick change plug to cover both wiring arrangements for 6-pin trailer connectors. I placed the original order Saturday evening and the second order Sunday afternoon. Monday morning, I called etrailer.com to try to cancel the first order and was told that both orders were already boxed and on the way the shipper. I had no idea that they had people there to pull and box orders on the weekend. I asked about returning the first order when it arrived and was told by Helen M that it would be no problem at all. I have been extremely pleased with my purchase experience with etrailer.com. Everyone I spoke with there was very knowledgeable and I will not hesitate to go directly to them for my trailer and towing needs in the future.

I needed an adapter for my electrical towing harness so the that I could use a 5-Way connector on my 7-WAY plug. On line, I found and ordered Item No. HM47570 "HOPKINS ENDURANCE MULTI-TOW CONNECTOR ADAPTER - 7-WAY to 6-WAY, 5-WAY or 4-WAY." When I received the product, I was really stoked, it was exactly what I needed and what I had been looking for! I tried it on for "size" as you might say and it's going to work like a charm. I will send some photos later when I'm done with the installation! No time right now. . this coming weekend! This part is an exact replacement to the part that failed. The failure was caused by a poor installation which allowed the rubber boot to chaff on the truck frame. As it was an exact replacement installation was straight forward although I modified the mounting bracket to prevent a reoccurrence of the problem.

Decent enough plug. It was an easy install. I would have liked to have allen screws to get a good bite, but will check the connections after a use or two.

Well, my first impression of this item is it is very sturdy and will be a great addition to my trailer.

I keep forgetting to put dialectric grease in my trailer electrical plugs but these cables are easy to replace when using the terminal strip junction boxes.

I received the product quickly and in perfect condition the packing was excellant. I installed the connector easily and quickly. I consulted the Gm wiring diagram and als found the wires for all the 7 connections. I had a tight spot within the bumper edge, but managed to find short bolts to attach the bracket in old exsisting holes. The rest was easy attaching the connectors and making sure all wires were through the rear enclosure and tightening them down. I tested the 4 wire connector with my boat trailer lights and it worked like it was designed to do. I LOVE the versatility of this connector. Thanks etrailer.com!! Great product at a great price.

Very well made, nicely designed. Note, if you mount this vertically, as suggested, a plastic cover is provided for the rear, and the unit may extend beyond your old bracket. My old bracket was a part of the original Hidden Hitch, and this extended beyond the old bracket. Because the rear plastic cover is NOT waterproof, it can be sealed with a small bead of RTV or similar sealant under the edge of the cover.

Product was as advertised and I received them quickly.

I have used etrailer probably four or five times now and have been very happy. Shipping is fast, prices are reasonable and the products are of good quality. I purchased more of the Quick Fix 4 Pole Trailer Ends - they work really well for the non-automotive industrial control project I am working on.

Installation went well and works fine. Only issue was the screws included with the product were not the right ones so had to replace which wasn't a big deal.

Works as stated, just plug in to7 pin connection on car, and plug 4 pin to trailer. Nice feature w/ led lights to check if connection is good

Would be a good product if it were compatible with my Rivian R1T. The truck detects the draw of the indicator lights and insists on staying in trailer mode. I had to buy one without lights. I may or may not have used the compatibility feature of your website but you should be sure that it is set to not recommend this product to Rivian owners

I received the product after just a few days. I had many technical questions that were answered by a competent service person. The product arrived in great shape and I had reviewed their installation video so installation went very quickly and easy. My 2011 Chevrolet Silverado is equipped with a 7 pole connection so I bought their adapter to convert to flat 4 pole connection. That an the CR-017 led worked very with first try. I also bought the trailer hitch lock at the same time. All products are very easy to use.

It served its purpose to convert 4 connection to 7 connection to make it compatible with Toyota 7 connection set up diagram which is different than many American or other 7 point connection. Thank you E-Trailer . 5 stars and it's working just fine 1 year out from installing.
