Each drawbar slides into place and locks with two hitch pins for a fast, tool-free setup. When it’s time to unhook, pull the pins and remove the arms in seconds. The smooth-fit design makes coupling and uncoupling easier whether you’re solo in your driveway or at a campsite after a long drive.
These direct-connect base plates pair with Roadmaster tow bars that slide into trailer hitch receivers such as the Nighthawk, Sterling, Blackhawk, Blackhawk 2, Falcon, and Falcon 2. Because of this connection style, there’s no need for a hitch ball or extra adapters to make your setup work together cleanly.
The black powder coat finish shields against corrosion and road wear, while precision welds reinforce each bracket for maximum durability. With included instructions and mounting hardware, it’s an installation that bolts on securely and stays tight even through extended trips.

I’ve pulled the Chevy behind our motor home several times over a the last year. It has worked excellent. And when not in tow the tubing is barely noticeable.

Which trim is your 2026 Chevy Trax? Per Roadmaster, the # RM25EQ (523228-5) fits all trims of the 2026 Trax except the ACTIV trim....

it has been a year and the base plate kit has been fantastic! I have had no issues whatsoever. I use it on my 2019 4x4 nissan frontier and feel very comfortable and secure taking a 2000 mile journey from California to Cartersville Georgia and back.
